Bill Babler Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I’ve put them on both flutter and jigging spoons, but I don’t think I have ever, not one time had a hook up on them that was not on the lure body original hook. Sounds like a great deal and you do miss a ton of fish one both spoons, but the stinger just doesn’t seem to hook up. For me anyway dtrs5kprs 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
bfishn Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I consider stingers a must for live-baiting winter walleye (boo, hiss). Didn't know they had store-boughts, I always just tied a jig with a long tag on an improved clinch, and tied the stinger on the tag, staged to match the bait. On the days they just nip & spit, the stinger can make a lot of difference. I can't dance like I used to.

How do you attach it? The loop goes through the eye of the spoon then the hook goes through the loop and cinches down. dtrs5kprs 1

Last year had a 5.02 on just the stinger so even if it is rare i always use one if im in a tournament dtrs5kprs 1
tjm Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 @aarchdale@coresleep.comwhat did you do that failed? Did you use both loop ends to snell knot? did you use the shrink tube over the knot?
