I’m looking for some waders for my son. He’s 6 and wears a youth size 13 1/2 shoe.

I’m guessing anything from youth size  13 1/2 to 2 would work?

I’ve had trouble locating any to try on in the St. Louis area. All the stores are order only.

Does anyone on here have any to sell that your kid has outgrown?

Also if someone has any good experience on ordering new one that would be helpful.

Kids grow so fast, unless you are making several of them, its a losing battle.

My daughter wore mine, but did not started wading cold water until she wore my stocking foots and some heavy socks.  Around 12.

Grandson #1 was almost the same.  First trout trip, borrowed a pair of duck hunting waders my boss bought for his 3 sons growning up.  By the next few seasons he was into mine with a few pair of socks.  Now, at 14, he has passed me up and will be barefoot into my boot foot waders.  When he levels out, I will buy him his own.

At age 6, he will not be able to go very deep or handle very fast water.  Depending on height and weight.  Duck hunting was a different story and no swift water.

I bought the cheaper hodgeman brand waders for my kiddos as they outgrow them. They're $40 and have actually held up pretty good through a few hand me downs.

I bought a pair off Amazon for my youngest and hers are made pretty well and have survived a few outings.  She liked them because they're colorful instead of her sisters ugly brown waders lol

Thanks. Yeah I’m not trying to go deep, just trying to keep him dry during cold weather and be able to cross at low spots.

Muck boots are no match for this kid near any kind of water 😉

we went the amazon route as well.  we're on the second pair now bc he's outgrown them.  if either one leaked it wasnt much but hes only used them in warm months.  Def would buy again.

Hawg, I have a pair of Herter's size 4 neoprene waders.  They may be a little big, but he will be able to grow into them.  Cabela's had them on sale years ago for $20.  I bought them for my daughter and she out grew them with out even being able to wear them.  You can have them if you want them, no cost. I live in Sunset Hills.
