Dutch Posted August 9, 2023 Share Posted August 9, 2023 The first thing I did was remove most of the grease before I put it on a rod. I still have probably 15 of the 1000s, 2000s, and 2500s dating back to 2001. They are still going strong as long as I dry the anti reverse bearings occasionally. Last year I kicked one out of the boat and couldn’t find it Dragging. A month later it got warm enough and I swam down and got it. Cleaned the exterior and did nothing else and it is still working perfect. Rod didn’t recover as well, turned white.
