Hey, everyone!

Thankful to be added to the forum.

Louisiana fresh retiree new to trout fishing. Have been a total of 6-8 times in the last year. Will be staying a week at Pointe Royale in early October in a unit down very close to Taneycomo. Plan to do quite a bit of fishing while family does usual Branson stuff. Been watching One Cast a lot to absorb info from Phil and Blake. I realize I will be in Trophy Area, subject to those restrictions. Will be spin fishing. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome.   I like the PR area.   The way the year is going it “should” be low water.  It’s worth going up to the dam too.  Scuds under a bobber.   Or check at lilleys when you get there for the latest hot flies.

Welcome.... Phil has some great jigs and a shop full of guys who know their stuff. Also you could throw jerk baits. Hit up @tylermntransplant or ryan miloshewski for good spin fishing advice also Jesterhk

Jigs Jigs Jigs.  That's a great area to fish off the bank when the water is off.  #2 lb line and 1/32 - 1/16th oz black jigs will catch a lot of trout there.  Let it go o the bottom and them lift and drop.  They'll hit it on the drop.
