No one has posted in over a month, what gives?

-Did Phil say “Thou shalt not post about Stockton?

- Is it too hot to fish?

- The catching is so good everyone’s got lockjaw?

- Your waiting on my report?

???????????
I need a fix, even if it’s fake news —

The Stockton forum never has been very busy.  There were maybe 10 regular posters at its height.  Almost all of them have drifted away.  Ketchup, Targa and I may be all that’s left.  Ketchup and Targa don’t post regularly and I have found Stockton to be tough enough this year that I have opted for Table Rock for most of my fishing.   Sorry I don’t have any news.

I used to be one of the regular posters.  I've gotten into fly fishing for trout and hardly ever get my boat out.  I've been to Stockton once this year back in May.  Summertime was always the worst for me.  I don't know where the bass go.  I'm of the belief that they are out cruising the lake following the shad balls.  They don't relate to anything, just suspended.

I haven't been fishing a whole lot this summer.

I did go out with a buddy Sunday morning and had 7 walleye (3 keepers), two channel cat and two crappie between us. Great morning until the wind came up. Mostly BB in 20ft or so.

That is absolutely the same way it is for me.

It has been tough. I bass fish 99% of my time on the water, and that bite has been tough so not much to share. The tournament results the past 8 weeks have been depressing, but it is that time of year. We will soon be back to cooler water, less traffic, and fish busting topwater and shallow baits, so until then i just enjoy reading.

With the lake being low I’m thinking about going down there in the morning and throwing a spinnerbait if my back will let me after I get the tile and grout cleaning and sealing done.

OK, here's my amateur post. Launched the 16.5' Monark out of CC Monday, 8am-4pm, and stayed at most, 1 mile north of the launch. Only threw crank baits at banks and timber. Concentrated at points when not throwing to timber. At best, didn't go deeper than 12ft. W.T. was 81-82 degrees. Caught 5 dinky bass ............no keepers. Kept one 12"crappie out of 3 caught. Caught 4 cats dragging a white Bandit in 10-12ft water. Biggest cat was 4 pounds and actually got fowl hooked.  Been too hot for me to fish for the last 30 days. Before that, I hit the lake a number of times pulling grandkids on the tube with the Champion fish & ski.
