He said in its peak they were averaging 2 million in sales per day. not surprised at all. They are still available. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

There are several guys that I know that swear by a nose hooked fluke, which is essentially what the Banjo Minnow is. Dad bought me three of the "TV" lures when i was younger as presents. They were the Helicopter Lure, Flying Lure and I believe the Swimming Image. The only one that really didn't work for me was the helicopter lure. It got bites but I could never hook the fish. Probably wasn't using proper tackle. The Flying lure caught a lot of fish for me. IMO it was just a backwards rigged tube anyways. The swimming image came with a hard swimbait/wakebait and a bunch of soft plastic bodies. The soft plastics didn't do much for me, but I hammered fish on that hard swimbait until it fell apart. My buddy absolutely wore at bass on Tablerock one year with the helicopter. But never repeated that day again. Even though he had it tied on for 2 years probably😂. 4 hours ago, gotmuddy said: the flying lure on the other hand is maybe the best dock-fishing bait ever made. I bought those too. I didn’t do well on them. But I love the concept. You’re right. Dude was a genius.
Ketchup Posted September 11, 2023 Author Posted September 11, 2023 I know there’s lots of baits out there much older than the Banjo “1995” but none have a 2am commercial. 😁 The Bionic Lure was another one from that era. Ketchup Posted September 11, 2023 Author Posted September 11, 2023 Thinking of nose hooked, did the Banjo spawn the drop shot in a way? snagged in outlet 3 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I nose hook them if it isn’t a snagging area. To fish them deep I nose hook them with a 4/0 ewg believe it or not. Works really well to get a fluke down 10’ or more. If you are patient. Ketchup 1
Seth Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Lots of guys swear by nose hooking a fluke, which essentially all a banjo minnow is. Lose more baits, but get better action and hook up ratio.
netboy Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 What, nobody mentioned the Mighty Bite. According to "experts" that big bite chunk out of lure and the red blood accents really get the fish excited.😀😀 BilletHead and snagged in outlet 3 2

I never bought that much me though😆 Jeff Mancini, the Big Bite hawker, reminds me of Dan Akroyd doing the Bassomatic skit. I actually had an in-law relative give me a Big Bite kit for Xmass one year many years ago. All you can say is.... Gee thanks. bfishn 1
