jdmidwest
My buddy just bought a Lowe for the lake in Charanooga. The pedal on the x3 is going opposite of the normal toe down=right heel down=left. Previous owner just screwed the pedal to the deck backwards and run it that way, pressing power with heel. Do I need to flip drive cable at head or foot pedal? fishinwrench
Probably easier at the head. It's been a while since I've done a MG, I expect them to be going bye-bye soon.
jdmidwest
It was a covid boat, put together in late 2020. 1st owner did not last a year with it before they put it up for sale. Probably a factory dyslectic assembled. I went with the xi3 this year because I wanted spotlock. Motorguide was only one to offer a 12v with it. I did not want to add another battery or have a place for one in the Tracker. Been happy so far with it. But I have noticed the offerings from them are getting slim. They didn't, but there for about 2 years you couldn't get one unless it was a long shafted saltwater model (White). I shortened the shafts on several of them......not a hard job at all. But who wants a WHITE trolling motor? 🙄 BilletHead

I don’t like it sticking up that far and get tired of holding it up through shallow water. It takes 2 hacksaw blades. One in the saw to do the cutting, and another stuck down into the shaft to protect the wires going down it....so you don't chew them up. Make sure the shaft is horizontal during the cutting & drilling process so that carbon dust doesn't end up down in the armature. 👍 snagged in outlet 3

I’ve watched a couple YouTube videos and then just lived with it. Maybe a good winter project.
fishinwrench
MK's Powerdrive Stow & Deploy is a PIA. Because I like my shaft no longer than necessary on my flyfishing boat.... I almost fall overboard if I'm not careful. I'd really like to redesign that function.
