I mentioned in a previous post that I played around a bit the other day with some rope, wondering if it would make a decent winging material. Here's an image of it after it's been teased a bit.  Haven't tried to tie with it yet, but thought it might be of interest. And speaking of hoarding--I was a while back-- I have several hundred feet of the stuff which means it has enough wings in it to tie 1,493,049 flies.

If there is anyone who would like to play with it, message me your address, and I will  send a bit, and the tradeoff is that you give a test report.

It's not nylon, at least the stuff I know. It's very soft and silky. I want to say that it's Dacron, but that may not be it, either. When the company I worked for bought it, it was used in raising and lowering the sides of a greenhouse, so it had to be low stretch.

The two hanks on the left of the shot haven't been teased out as much as the hank on the right.  I wish I had time to play with it, but I'm playing catch up on about five years of a to-do list.

        I love this!

I am two years behind on something I was asked to do. Maybe she has forgot about it? 😉

Good luck with that...I'm fairly sure it will come up at some point; I know it would around here.

My life as I know it will end on March 15th when Pat retires. My gravy train on Bisquit wheels is going to be derailed. 🙄

You and Pat seem to get along well. You’ll be fine!

More than likely she’s doing a strategic delay, waiting for just the right moment to pounce. Keep your head on a swivel!

Thanks Mitch we really do. 18 and 19 when we got married. We learned much as our early adult lives came together.

She had four days off in a row. We did not go anywhere or do anything out of the household. I went to the shop to mess with the wood lathe. shoe would come out and check on me. You, Ok? Yes, I told her. As she was going out the door, I stopper her. Said This is what retirement is all about. I got a funny look. When I went inside, I was amazed at what she had done. I should hide out more often. 😁
