Champ188 Posted November 30, 2023 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Crappie often move back in the fall into the same shallow areas where they spawned in the spring. Whether they actually spawn there in the fall I can't say, but my grandfather was a crappie guru on Lake Ouachita (much like TR, a clear, highland, flood-control reservoir) and he caught em shallow in both spring and fall. Dutch Posted November 30, 2023 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Speaking of shallow, yesterday I was up in Flat Creek above Mash Hollow and the bend to the bridge. There were 2 boats on the shallow flat one appeared to be casting and the other spider rigging.
