No Traveling For Us

We was going to travel and see the Eclipse. 

Long Range Forecast is calling for cloudy but this can change.

I have seen it under sunny skies back in 17.  I was looking forward to seeing how dark it could get under cloud cover.  Guess I will wait another hundred years for a shot.

Well we went where they said 100% and it wasn't a guy by us was very POed because he was trying to record everything total dark. 

I was very unimpressed but we had a good drive.

It definitely got darker the last time.   The night birds and frogs started making noise then. 

I was working today, and if I hadn't been made aware that it was going on today I actually might not have noticed.   🤷‍♂️

We had 4 minutes of totality, I watched it off the deck of a customer in Cape county. Lights were dim for 20 minutes, but it brightened up fast after the moon started letting light back to us.

Headlights came on vehicles and pole lights lit up.

My Granddaughter is in College down there and we started to go there but figured there would be too many people. 

We have something else to go to that might be better and involves Road Trip.

The traffic back up 55 to St. Louis lasted until late last nite I was told, bumper to bumper and 40.  Going home yesterday after work resulted in all 2 lanes with bumper to bumper going every direction.  But it was moving around 40 to 50.

Got another Road Trip planned to go to College of the Ozarks to see what they have on the Bible.

The museum is nice, we visited it back in January.  Large Firearm collection, bird Mounts, local stuff.  Be sure to see it. Restaurant is good I am told, it looked closed for off weekend.
