Hit it at daylight this morning. Saw rain in the forecast but not a drop, these weather forecasters need a new job. Fished around point 9 and really struggled . Spook, keitech and grub, jig  and Ned. Nada nothing  Could hear the water coming in to the creeks last night and the lake is up over 918. Fished shallow out to 25

Fished yesterday, tough as well. Can't say I know of any pattern. cAught one nice smallie otherwise smaller fish. I was gone the second half of April. Did anyone see any significant spawning activity, Beds or shallow cruising fish?

The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

I’ve been catching them for three weeks now off the beds. Last week there were shad starting to spawn . Also caught some post spawners that were schooling on shad . Senko had been good . Dixie jet thrown to the schoolers was working . Also small swimbait and top water.

Spotted bass and smallies appear to be done with spawning, don't know about the largemouth.  Shad have been spawning for at least a week.  It seems all the spawning activity was fast forwarded a couple of weeks this year.
