A friend has a small Evinrude Motor, 4351-05991 is the only mark I have found, and she has asked me to find any information available. Don't think it works. Belonged to her husband who is deceased.

Thanks. Are parts available for this? Was thinking about repairing.

Points, condenser, coil, spark plug, carb kit, and gearcase seals.....Yes.

Anything else and you'll likely have to search some boneyards.

Will it push anything bigger than a MinnKota 65 will ?     No. 😅

Hey it will push better than that 1 1/2 horse Neptune outboard I had when starting my boat journey.

One time on the Salt river we were pulled up on a gravel bar, when an old couple in a 14' Richline with a 4hp Scott Attwater came puttin' up the river.   We waved, and just as they passed us the old man said....

"Pull the stringer in and hold onto your hat Ma',  I'm gonna run it WIDE OPEN !"  😅   As if he was really gonna peel out!

You could have gigged frogs at WOT from that rig. 😂

We used the Neptune on Taney. Next time we made that trip we borrowed a four horse Martin outboard. Crazy young days. Forty plus years ago I actually think 44 or 45. I know our son wasn't born yet and he is 43.

Just think..... Everytime that whistle blows at the dam, some gal is likely frying taters, or getting bred.  😉

Wish I could remember all the cool, old outboards I went thru in the '70s. They were just gathering dust in old timers' garages, you could get one for $25 any time. No one in the county had any parts, so when they quit, they just got set aside or abandoned. Used coat hanger wire for shear pins in all of them. McClintons, Goodyears, Sears... a friend still has an OMC suitcase motor in great shape.

I can't dance like I used to.
