Wish I could remember all the cool, old outboards I went thru in the '70s. They were just gathering dust in old timers' garages, you could get one for $25 any time. No one in the county had any parts, so when they quit, they just got set aside or abandoned. Used coat hanger wire for shear pins in all of them. McClintons, Goodyears, Sears... a friend still has an OMC suitcase motor in great shape.

I started my business right about the same time that everyone got computers in their homes and got connected to the Internet.  It was DIAL UP and it was SLOW... but bygod it connected us all to each other.   And made aquiring parts alot easier.

I bought up old outboards for next to nothing on eBay, and at estate sales, restored them, and sold them like they were going out of style.....at a very healthy profit. 🤑

Got connected to an antique boating club in Wisconsin and those guys beat a trail back&forth from there to my place every couple weeks, buying up all the old Johnson/Evinrude's that I could get my hands on and fix up like new (literal truckloads of them).

What they didn't buy got sold to a pretty famous White River resort in Arkansas that used them to decorate their lodge.  If you've been there then you know the one. 😉  Every old outboard you see along their walls came from Yours Truly 😊 and helped me build my little miniature empire.   And yes they all RUN, every single one of them. 👍😊

Must have put higher octane and fuel additives in em😂. I’ve been reading all posts.      That’s very cool Glen

Looks like a Merc 4 stroker hanging off a toon to me.  He loves those things.....

Buried somewhere underneath wireless servo's that control shifting, throttle setting, trim angle, and steering.    You can drive it with your phone. Just plot your course on a GPS map and go take a nap.

Even the winch on the trailer is wireless and Bluetooth compatible.

I'm sure you'd love it.

No would not love it.

You totally missed the point of what I said anyway.
