Taneyfest 2025 official food thread

I'll bring all the plastic ware (cups/utensils/bowls/plates).  

I will also bring saltine crackers.  If there's chili and gumbo, I like to put crackers in them.

@gotmuddy Talk to us about this gumbo please. Okra, roux, file, shrimp, andouille, poultry? Green pepper or (the ness preferred, which you chastised me for in the earlier jambalaya discussion  ) poblano?

Traditional(south of I-10) style.  dark roux, plenty of the holy trinity, garlic. Chicken sausage and milo is bringing something special...goose breast

I've already been to Branson once this year!

Seriously, I've never fished Taney and wouldn't know what the heck I'm doing. Nobody'd want me in their boat! The food and fellowship is awfully tempting though. I hope you guys have fun.

                              You don't have to know anything. Those fish just jump in the boat! As far as the fishing it rained all last year but a handful went out and fished anyway. They guys caught while the rest of us visited and talked about the ones out fishing. 🤣 So I am Telling you @ness it's just as much the fellowship as it is fishing. Go ahead and stay home and not defend yourself. We can talk smack about you!

I had never fished it before going last year and still managed to outfish @BigHandsRob 🤣
