Hard to fin live bait anywhere bw aurora and Big M this time of year. And didnt have time to go catch any. Lol Oh well, maybe next time. Lol Won't be too much longer and the spawning run will begin. If I was a determined walleye fisherman and had the time, I'd go and try and get some creek chubs out of the local creek.

But until then, that's when I'm just spinning down there. Lol Quillback 1
rps Posted Wednesday at 08:35 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:35 PM Until he passed, Buster Loving was the best at winter walleye. Babler said he had caught so many 10+# fish he could not remember the number. As Babler described it, he would fish a jerk bait so slow it would take him minutes to get the lure back to the boat. Something like 30 seconds between gentle twitches. Try that on the bank between Lunker Landing and Campbell Point. Then go back and fish it with a minnow tipped jig.

I've fished upper Bull so much and I would see Buster out on guide trips and ill be honest I watched him and tried doing what he did. Never worked for me, That guy was a master at his craft. Not sure if the guy is on this site but I always see post of "Reds Guide Service" on facebook and he is flat smashing the walleye on Table Rock. snagged in outlet 3, Ron Burgundy and Quillback 3

Saw 1 other guide boat running around chasing walleye I believe. Almost staying in bed with the high winds and cold but knew I'd be mad if I didnt go. So I figured why not. Worst case scenario I went for a 45 min drive for fun.....Glad I went!!! Took 2 hours but got my 2nd limit of the week. Smallest crappie was 11.75. Biggest was 15.25 and weighed 1.98. All caught on a 6th sense Tinsle jig in either Pink & Black or Blue & Silver. Then I went hunting for walleye. Struck out everywhere. They are kicking my butt. Did catch a bunch of bass with 3 keepers. All on jerkbaits, Arig. And 2.8 kietech. Could not even find a walleye. Great way to end the year!! And for all you "Blaukets" out there.......Yes, I used FFS to catch my crappie. I got to crappie fish these 2 times this week for the first time since spring. I enjoy being able to find them alot faster that way in the few times I get to go between work and kids sports. Hope everybody has a Safe New Year and great 2025!! Nice, you are on them!!!! Love seeing reports. This site has gotten a little light on fishing talk and reports. Dutch and Quilback are the main guys as far as the big lakes. snagged in outlet 3, Quillback and Targa98 3

He was out in the middle of the channel it seems drifting around. I didnt have any live bait. On Stockton I can catch them but it seem when I get to the rock it is a whole new ball game. I grew up in SD fishing for them but it is so different for me. On day I am going to pay a quid down there to teach me a few things. Weather I catch any or not on that day, I'm getting to the point I Need to know what I'm doing wrong before I go crazy. 😂🤣 I wouldn't mess with any other guide for walleye than Jeff Fletcher at Eagle Rock. Just sayin ... rps 1
