Table Rock prospects for 2025

Fishing for black bass should be excellent in 2025.  Largemouth bass are plentiful throughout the lake as a result of the high lake levels in past years.  An abundant year class of largemouth bass was produced in 2020 and the majority of these fish reached the minimum length limit of 15” in spring 2024.  Quality largemouth bass are present in the lake as well.  The percentage of largemouth bass greater than or equal to 15” was 31% throughout the reservoir during the spring 2024 electrofishing surveys.  These surveys also revealed an abundance of spotted bass in the 11”-14” range, with four percent of the spotted bass captured in the spring surveys exceeding the minimum length limit of 15”.   Smallmouth bass fishing should be good in 2025 with good numbers of keeper size fish available.

If only 4 percent of the spots are legal, I think maybe some changes need to be made

Is MDC releasing these reports all at once?? In waves? Wish there was some sort of set report schedule...

Sounds like the same propaganda from any of the previous 20 years. Fishing is great, so come one, come all ... and that goes double for national-level bass tournaments. The bigger, the better! 
How about MDC gets out and does some REAL sampling ... like creel surveys over a yearlong period at various ramps around the lake? Or, as has been tossed around on here a few times ... close down one of the three main arms of the lake during the spawn.

I can say that last spring was one of the better I’ve had in quite a while, along with catching some quality fish at night. The water level was good and good temps as well.
