When I’ve gone up we’ve checked our insulated boxes of frozen fish as luggage and shipped our clothes and rods, etc. home via UPS.  Works great actually, but that is flying out of Anchorage.  It costs way more to ship  the fish than the gear….

I meant to say check 2 boxes in luggage, not carryon.  Old brain misfiring.  😀

Overnight freight is not cheap from Alaska.

I didn't go this year so I got mine from a friend who is a commercial fishermen at Bristol Bay.  He lives in Rolla.
