Got another Optimax Motor question for you kind Sir.  Serial Number 1B-722025   or   IB-722025 2009 250 Pro XS. I am trying to locate the correct max RPM for running this engine. I am hearing 5500 to as high as 6000 but am not being able to get a definite answer on the exact RPM.   I am going to be putting plugs in it and have always run NGK in my Mercury Engines is this a good plug for this motor. Thanks for the help.

NGK's are correct for the Mercs. 

6000 RPM is what Mercury recommends..... because their hole shot is typically lacking......(and ONLY because of that)...But I prop for 5500 if the hole shot is good. 

6000 is SCREAMING and I'd rather not hear my motor wind up that tight.

So 5500 it is and a new set of NGK plugs. Thank You Sir
