Tactical Jigs

Been playing with some of these. The one day that I have used them on the river they produced fish better than other things I tried. 

These are all size 14.

                            I like the looks of those Ronnie. High sticking close, Euro at a longer distance or using an indicator?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I plan on showing them to some Crane rainbows and Yellowstone Cutts in 2026.

I've only used under an indicator. But I think they are really popular in the Euro world, that I really know nothing about. I ran across the patterns while building a list of flys to travel West.

Those are nice, and for me that is the way I go for indicator fishing as well; I have a box full of jigged nymph ties for that purpose.  I have tried high sticking, and either I’m just not good at it, the water I’m fishing is too turbulent, or both.

We aren't going to be roamming all over the country. We rented a house in Wapiti, WY for next August. Just going to run day trips from there. If you know anything about that area I would love to hear it.
