grizwilson Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 Sorry @fishinwrench I somehow caught covid so will be delayed about a week. Daryk Campbell Sr and fishinwrench 1 1 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
grizwilson Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 started prepping to work on it tomorrow, when I pulled the cowling found this disconnected???? Sits behind the front cowling latch going into the EFI box??? Plugged in, latch fits? Guessing knocked loose removing cowling latch? (which I have to do occasionally to bleed the on tank reservoir, due not having "deleting" the oil injection system ...yet.. as instructed by @fishinwrench) “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
fishinwrench Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Do you say it is "overheating" because you felt it and it's hot (140° or more).....or because you are getting a warning horn going off ? "Beeeeeeeeeep" (solid tone) is overheat sensor. "Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep..." (broken tone) is oil injection system related. Occasional 4 short beeps every 5-10 minutes is Water In Fuel sensor tone.

Tone solid beeeep, and gauge on dash reading hot. If I drop to idle it will cool down in just a few have had the beep beep beep oil injection one, just pop the cowling, loosen the lid on the on motor while running, let it fill the reservoir, it sometimes bleeds off while sitting in non use, seems fine if using daily. Have not had the water in fuel one....yet. Thanks @fishinwrench fishinwrench 1 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
grizwilson Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 @fishinwrenchtext sent, I did get the recommended oil injection delete completed and a test run, all seems well except the overheating issue. I think you hit the problem on the head with the pop off, but could be the thermostats? Just do not think I am up to doing that pop off yet. Will set up bringing it up for your expertise and skill. grizwilson Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Update, took the boat to @fishinwrench Tuesday afternoon. By Wednesday evening he had it diagnosed and working as intended. Apparently the previous water pump installation was done by some bonehead old man(who shall remain nameless) had improperly installed so "the water pump base seal had fallen out, and that would not allow the pump to align properly....which destroyed the water tube grommet." I took it for a run yesterday, from the Gravois Ramp to main lake and back it worked as intended. Nothing damaged except my pride and wallet. Thanks to fishinwrench for getting me going so quickly. snagged in outlet 3, BilletHead, Daryk Campbell Sr and 2 others 4 1 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein

Some knowledgeable dude told me to follow the channel and keep motor trimmed up..... I did not but got the lift adjusted. fishinwrench 1 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
