Quillback Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago They are still eating. I'm pretty sure they are done spawning, caught a lot of flat bellied fish yesterday. The bite is changing too, early there was a topwater bite in one location with the smallies out over 50 FOW chasing shad. Rest of the day, near the banks but pulled back a bit, out in 10 FOW or so. Ned rig bite was really good, I had glued up some rigs the day before and forgot to put my ned box in the boat, so I was limited to one I had tied on and one my buddy John B. gave me at the ramp (he launched at the same time I did). That one rig I had tied on died a hero, I think I caught close to 25 smallies on it before it became too torn up to use. The 3.3 Keitech was working early, and I finished up using a 3/16th oz. jig which they also liked. WT 63-64. Lance34, BilletHead, Lloyd and 3 others 6
jeb Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago We caught them pretty good too, mostly after the water warmed up some. Ned was the big winner, but some came on the Keitech and topwater. If I'd known you didn't have your Ned box, I'd have given you a bunch of them. Glad you were able to make them last. Quillback and snagged in outlet 3 2 John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

I didn't know at the ramp I had left them at home. Found out once that rig got torn up and could not find the box. No biggie, it was still a good day. Dewayne French and snagged in outlet 3 2

Since it floats. I tried that based on your earlier comments and they do work. I took a look just now at some Z-Man stuff and I might give the "Micro-Goat" a try on the little jig.
