I was on the water before sunrise and wet at noon.   Water temperature was 65 or 66 everywhere.    Caught them all shallow, but never saw a bed or any fish that looked like it was trying to spawn or tail damage.
Caught em like crazy until 11 or so.   Water is a weird color.  Like ice tea.  Biggest was 5.31 pounds and 21”s.   I caught a lot of keeper plus largemouth and 7-8 spots.  No smallies.  Tried top water and never got a sniff.   you know you got the right baits when they absolutely choke it.   I tink I was in a shad spawn.
