  1. Good job Quillback. I went into Indian Creek and Moulder the same day. I was catching fish shallow in pockets with flooded cover. Most fish came on a fluke. Did catch some around docks with a Jackall flick shake worm. Didn’t have much luck on points. Did catch about a 2lb smallie off a brush pile in 20-25 fow.
  2. Getting a butt whoopin this week. My team is awful. My E bucket guy is the highest one thus far.
  3. There are certain ways to tell. If you are getting bites where it seems like they are on for a second or two and you don’t catch it they are probably moving your bait away from the nest. If you get bit in exactly the same spot they could be spawning. As Champ said. If they are in similar depth in a given pocket they could be spawning. Some bass eyes turn more red during spawn too. Then of course you have the bloody or worn down, rough looking tail. I’m sure there’s more ways to tell, but those are a few.
  4. Nice to finally put a face with the name. Good job man. Nice tan.
  5. Thank you. Interesting
  6. Are you sure the walleye don’t spawn here? Because they do go way upstream during spawning time. They are a freshwater fish naturally. I thought they did spawn.
  7. Did anyone try a fluke or a weightless trick worm Bill? Just curious if they are still biting that.
  8. I heard about that Dan. Didn’t know it was that particular home.
  9. They sell a lot Quill. Especially when A-rig is in full affect. Pro Blue is the one that everyone seems to buy up quickly.
  10. I grew up in the car business and have a hard time buying new. Ideally I’ll be looking for a boat that is still under warranty but not new. In Arkansas you don’t pay sales tax on used. I looked for a long time before I bought my Skeeter. I made a really good buy on it. I’ve had it for 5 years. I don’t “need” a newer boat I just want one. One of these days something will come along. Appreciate your help on telling me about the Phoenix. Only a handful of them at Beaver so we don’t have much exposure to them.
  11. Bill? What’s the difference between the 7 series and 9 series?
  12. Sorry to hear that Gary.
  13. I want a Phoenix. I like what I see as far as the layout and fish ability. Haven’t driven one or fished off the front deck, but every Phoenix owner I talk to loves their boat. I don’t want to waste any dealers time just yet, but when the time is right I’m seriously considering a Phoenix.
  14. I like that dirty water! Nice job
  15. Yep. I forgot to combine the 2. You are correct Sfiser.
  16. My bad. I just read on their app. Approximately 7600. 7 gates are opened up 1ft.
  17. I was told that’s not including the gates. Supposedly they are releasing 10000 combined.
  18. Beaver is at flood pool and they have the gates open. Coming your way! Be ready to adjust your docks.
  19. Yep. Same story. Hate to see that.
  20. Did anyone see or hear about this? I saw it on the BassBlaster email. Sad deal.
  21. I used them several years ago. They did a good job for me. Laying carpet isn’t easy. If you don’t lay it all the same direction it won’t look right. They did good work at a reasonable price
  22. I probably caught 7-8 myself Jo. I was fishing that big bass tournament. Didn’t catch anything over 2.5lbs. So no need to weigh them in. It was a tough day. I wouldn’t feel bad about 6 fish.
  23. I dislike trailer hooks very much. Ha
  24. The co-anglers success depends on his boater putting him around fish. A lot of cos will show up without practicing at all. Congrats to him for figuring out a better way to catch them. He would be the first to admit his success wouldn’t have happened without the hard work of his boaters.
  25. You did it have a tongue patch? Or was it smooth?
