The Missouri Department of Conservation is asking for input from anglers who like to fish on Table Rock Lake. The department wants to improve on a national fish habitat initiative, and is asking fishermen to participate in an online survey.
Mike Allen is a biologist with the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery in Branson

I was talking with a couple of guys who claimed they were catching huge Bluegil on point 9 in 30 feet of water on the gravel flat near the opening of the White River. Are these fish there all summer long? What bait would you use on an ultra-light rod, live crickets? Small jigs?
I would suggest switching using Interstate trolling motor batteries that are non dual purpose. A starting battery for you engine and straight trolling motor batteries for your trolling motor. They dont have as many cold cranking amps but will last longer than the dual purpose. It does sound like you have a bad battery.
I agree, the only thing bad about the weekend was the weather. Everyone involved with the event was very friendly. My partner and I had a great time and we felt it was well worth the money.
I would ditto Captain Joe. I had a 2002 Mercury 225 that had 2 scared pistons rebuilt at Ulrich Marine. Price was reasonable. It has been two years and the motor is running great!
Fred Ulrich mechanic Brian is one of the best in the area at rebuilding engines.
I will echo the sentiments fishing this weekend. My partner and I took off arount 9am Saturday morning in the KC area. Found fish stacked up around huge shad balls in 80 ft of water but could not get a bite. We tried the Spoons, Scoungers, and single tail grubs to no avail. We switched to the channel swings on the bluffs. Caught three shorts and a keeper in 30-35 ft (Oswalds Bluff). Caught 3 on spoons one on a single tail grub.
Sunday we fished for 2 hours in the am cought one short on the single tail.
Fun to be out. We also saw at least 10 eagles!
Fish the main lake points with a football jig and PBJ tail. Fish are being caught in 15-25 ft. Also try swimming a single tail grup (silver) in 10-20 ft on the same points.
Good luck!
We fished the Kimbeling area Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, caught fish on jigs, on main lake points, single tail grub and spinner baits up in the bushes. Over 50 fish in two and a half days. Six keepers, 3lbs large jaw being the biggest.
