  1. Bill, how could you keep this such a secret for soooo long? you are so willing to share your fishing knowledge, I find it hard to believe you kept the super glue secret to yourself. All us OLD retired guys have been buying the blue bottle gel that cost about $4.00 a pop and it dries up after about three applications.
  2. I've had eczema on my hands and ankle for many years. I believe I turned Donna on to super glue for the painful splits on her hands. Somehow I've manage to heal my hands, due to a steroid cream and several other creams. I still suffer with my ankle and it's a continuous battle. I will get it almost totally healed and than it breaks out with vengeance. I just heard about a new product for eczema, that is due to be on the market this year. It is called dupilumab and in test cases it has totally eliminate eczema. That will be a blessing from GOD if it lives up to the expectations.
  3. Very nice! Don't feel bad about pictures. I haven't been able to upload from my phone yet. I'm going to have some teenager give me a crash course.
  4. Very nice fish! I love when a plan comes together. You just raised the bar for us all. I hear after that fish, you and Champ are 6 to 5 favorites to win the derby.
  5. Come on Champ................I was about to trade for some warts!!
  6. Champ is as skilled at stirring the pot, as he is at catching fish. I'm not sure if it's due to his experience on the water, or as a journalist.
  7. That's the price you pay when you're rich and famous! You or I never get that kind of response, when we post a report. I guess we just don't catch enough to be news worthy.
  8. I LOVE it!. That's exactly what happens when fisherman get old (Champ), the inability to focus and comprehend. All this time and I thought I was the only guy with this problem. Bill thought it was only a novice issue.
  9. I don't think the whites are really going yet. I fished on the Kings last Sat. 2 miles north and south of Hickory Hollow and no whites. We did manage 12 keeper crappie on small jigs.
  10. When the megabass ito vision 110 first came out, I was fortunate to get my hands on a few of the pro blue and deadly blacks for around $25 each. Somehow a derby fisherman from about 100 miles away heard about them and drove down here and bought all I had at $75 each. That motivated me to reinvest and purchase more over the years and I still have several made in 2000 and 2001. Most of you guys know what they are selling for on Ebay. It's almost as crazy as the pre-Rapala warts these days. I bought 120 warts and drove 140 miles round trip to pick them up about 6 years ago. I paid $650. for them and my wife thought I was insane. Most were pre-Rapala and I got my money back plus in a matter of a few weeks. Now, if I can only convince her that the rest of my sickness is a investment.
  11. Great report! Nice to see some action on Grand. Good luck in the derby!
  12. I don't think this weather is here to stay. I think spawn is still 3 weeks away. 8 to 10 feet was the ticket on the kings.
  13. Congrats and thanks for a great report! I love it when everything goes right in a derby. Clean living pays off.
  14. Thank God you posted this Champ! Now, my wife realizes that my sickness is not really so severe.
  15. 52-54 on Kings River on Saturday.
  16. Solution: Champ and Donna have to bring 2 BV (trophy genes) Bass every time they fish the Rock.
  17. I noticed there is no mention of Electrofishing surveys for Largemouth????
  18. You gotta love a man with that many left handed reels!! Good luck on Grand!
  19. Great report! Were any of the white bass guys catching or just fishing?
  20. Great info Wrench! I also have heard that vaseline smeared heavy on the cloudy gelcoat also helps to bring out the shine. That's what makes this site so great, the desire for fellow fisherman to help each other.
  21. Oh yes, Once again my phone won't allow me to upload the pictures. Ned Dave to the rescue.
  22. I felt I had to share this bit of information. I have a 2000 Ranger bass boat and the top gel coat was looking very shabby. I should have taken a before and after picture but I did not. I had taken it up to championship Marine and they gave me an estimate of almost $6,000 to shoot gelcoat on the top cap. Not wanting to spend that kind of money, on a boat that is 17 years old, I decided to go another route. A friend recommended that I take it to Tommy mayr and see if he could detail the boat and improve the condition of the fiberglass gelcoat. I will let you be the judge. This boat hasn't looked this good since it was brand new and Tommy only charged me $225. For those that might be interested, Tommy's number is 417-294-8458.
  23. Fall/Winter would be shad, Spring shad and crayfish, Summer insects, snakes, and smaller sunfish. Occasionally my lures.................just a Yankee guess. Wow, I guess that's more than three.
  24. The price we PAY for a lil love!
  25. They are otters! Fish eating, stealing, nasty critters! We managed to catch 4 crappie one day last week and I put them in a live box on my dock. I was going to clean them the next day............wrong. Otter broke into and damaged my live box and to rub a little salt in my wounds, he pooped all over my dock. Make matters worse, lil critter never even said thanks.
