You'll have it by March for sure.

Stockton is a Great Lake and I heard it gets about as windy as the Great Lakes so as well. sounds like you have a great boat. I'd love to see pictures of it some day, Especially with you holding up a nice fish in the foreground. walleye, Crappie, catfish, white bass and plenty of smallies, spots, and LMB. A time and a place on Stockton for catching all those fish

New Regs Proposed - White River, Norfork Tailwater
Ham replied to Phil Lilley's topic in White River
I read on another site that Regs IF passed would kick in 1-1-18. So we get to use our Power Bait on treble hooks this Jigfest anyway. -
New Regs Proposed - White River, Norfork Tailwater

Are the rules changes to be implemented immediately? I'm fine with whatever, bu5 I did not see any date mentioned. I'll read it again. FTR, I'd like to see 1) The entire length of Norfork River catch and release, artificial only, barbless only 2) additional bank fishing catch and keep areas created. Some body keeps to keep a few trout 3) a $25 ticket for fishing on a boat ramp and 4) another catch and release area added on the upper river using natural landmarks that can not be misunderstood -
$30 for Pflueger President spinning reel

Dave likes a big spool because he insists on using straight flurocarbon. Lunatic. -
Good for you man! I've got to wait a little while yet on my next trout boat.

good luck OAF, everyone else can suck it.. Eh?

I share more information than most, but I am consciously choosing the information I share to be about larger areas than can stand the pressure. I can share information without crapping my pants. I'm not willing to ruin a vulnerable fishery to get "likes", brownie points, or fish karma. I share about current conditions on larger bodies of water and patterns that I think are in play rather than go to this spot and do this. you do understand that there is a mortality rate on fish that are caught and released AND those smallies can get loved to death by being caught over and over. I can teach ppl about saving money without giving them my bank account numbers. -

Man, I do not for the life of me know why you would post this. Certain places present unique opportunities that will not hold up under the pressure of larger numbers of fishermen. -
I really, really like Stockton.

Man, that's tough. I hope he benefits from our intercessional prayers.

Yeah, you can catch fish with non elastec on a Jig head. You can drive a Kia instead of a Cadillac too. I use what I believe is the better option. Zeros/Zinkers
-
Normally, I overthink and overbuy everything. I want all the options available for that one time where the fish are going to demand that one color and one shape. not with the Ned rig. All I want is half a Zero/Zinker. Always and forever Amen.

Thanks John. It could well be argued that I should have found some shallow dingy water and tried to get green fish on topwaters or squarebills, but I did what I wanted and made it work (some).

I think I just got on a wad of them. I got out the crappie Jig and caught a keeper smallie. Go figure.
-
Some were on the bottom, some on the way back up.

Here's the fish Godfrey took home. I had 5 more Big crappie after that. Another keeper Spot and a couple "keeper" Smallies.

Launched the boat shortly after Sun Up and pulled it out a little after Sundown. I wish the day could have lasted about another 6 hours. mid 40's air temp, got up to low 50's later. Rain. Some times harder, sometimes softer BUT rain within 15 minutes of starting. That's why I have Good rain gear. Cabela's Guidewear treated me right. Again. water temp 59-62' water clarity was Awesome. So Fun to watch the fish you are catching pull pull pull fish are still deep, shallow, and in between. Lots of ways to skin that cat right now. Pick the one you like and find the place to make it work. I force fed a 17 inch smallie a swimbait in 25 FOW on a wind blown bank. I missed a couple of other bites. I suspect smaller fish that dream big. picked up my Buddy Lincoln Godfrey. He loves to catch Big crappie. So Big Crappie we did catch. Bobby Garland Baby Shads fished around select boat docks and standing timber. 1/32 and 1/16 oz heads. Of course, you also catch small bass of all three species and other sunfish while doing that. Godfrey had to bail to return to real life. I turned to boat back out in the cold rain and force fed them drop shot rigs until I got tired of being stupid and pulled out a Ned rig. I found a stretch of bank that was loaded with fish and was getting bit every stinking cast. I had some hook failures and breakoffs which got in the way of numbers. I had a hook failure on a sub keeper walleye. I had 4 Big Crappie on a Ned and a big Bluegill too. I finished with 54. Pics or it didn't happen. So carry on I suppose.
