It was Long Ear Sunfish, Green Sunfish, Black Spotted Top Minnow, Striped Shiner, Dusky Striped Shiner, Creek Chub, Rainbow Darter, and Studfish. I did not get the Studfish.
shoot me a text at 870- 7 three 6- three 1 three 0. I have a picture. It is awful though. I simply must get a better system for getting a picture of the fish in water. Clear bug box or clear plastic bag.
The most bass was 150 in one day, The most fish in a day since I started using the clicker was 218. But remember in my crazy world, that a 8 inch was counts the same as an 8 lb fish. A chub is the same as a legal walleye, etc.
Zig Jigs and Ned Rigs have dramatically increased the number of fish I catch in a year. Huge difference. I also try to fish where and when I can catch them. for example, I don't fish for bluegill in the dead of winter.
I don't just fish one place for one kind of fish though. I try to stay honest with myself and fish for what I want to fish when I want to fish for it and NOT JUST fish for numbers.
All these lakes really fish differently depending on what section you are in. The bite can be RED HOT in some areas and TOUGH in others. If you are committed to an area for whatever reason, you may just have to make the best of it. I heard yesterday morning that the bite in the Red bank area has been really, really good. It often is in the Spring.
You for you that you got them to eat a jerk bait. I can not for whatever reason.
Not a bit Mitch. If I say I caught 65,I caught 65. Back in the day when I did not catch very many fish, a clicker wasn't necessary. I started kayak fishing Ozark streams and I could not keep up with the number of fish I was catching. People would ask me how many I caught and I could not honestly tell them. I got tired of saying "a bunch" or "more than 40". So, I got a clicker to keep up with the number of fish I catch. And by caught I mean touched and or purposely released boat side. To each his own. I don't care what anyone else considers caught and I'm not keeping count for anybody else but me.
NO doubt there will be significant pressure from us Bass Cat knuckleheads, but pros see things the average cat(ter) doesn't. They will find plenty of off shore stuff that hasn't been beaten to death. They had big sacks o fish last time around and the lake itself has a lot more big fish in it right now.
I've caught more > 3 lb bass from Bull this Spring than ever before. I expect the Ellites to tap it to the larger than normal bass and sack em up. I just hope they spend a lot of money locally. I'm going out of state to get away from them.
this month or in the last 30 days? I know I'm Nit picking. but I thought they caught some of them in March.
I've fished 1 oz spinnerbaits before. It's like throwing a brick.
I finally figured out how to catch a fish on a wart so maybe this will be the year I catch a fish on an RC STX. I own a dozen or more of them and I honestly never remember catching a fish on the bigger ones. I have caught a few on the Jr STX.
I have a lot more confidence in the McStick or a MegaBass or a LC Pointer.
He was one his way back from the West Coast. He caught some massive Steelhead. He grabbed another Rueben on the way home at the Berghoffs in O'Hare Airport. (Concourse C).
He's good fisherman and a better person. A lot like Griz. They both sandbag a ton. You'd think they'd never caught a fish in their lives.
