  1. The Jr is pretty big and the full sized is a monster. I have both. I've caught more than a few on the Jr.
  2. I like the Kelly J's. The KJ Jr doesn't seem to float. Mine is a slow sinker. I'm going to reduce the size of the hooks it see ifI can get it to float, but it caught fish as is.
  3. Roger, I think three keeper walleye would be a good full day from a boat. Outstanding !
  4. Back in the day, my 12 volt TM would be slowing down late in the day regardless of battery age. I've never run batteries down with a 24 volt system UNTIL the batteries where starting to fail. If you can tolerate the weight issues of carrying two batteries, I would go 24 volt. Official disclaimer : all my 24 volt TM have been the kind that had modulating technology to extend battery life.
  5. You got it. Me and weezi.
  6. Rain and lots of it. We gonna get our spring lake level rise. Sure will be nice to see BSL back over 650!
  7. Good job!
  8. I'm really wanting to catch some Whites there during the spring run. I'm trying to keep my ear to the ground for when the run starts.
  9. I had high hopes for an accidental walleye or two, but no soap. I was surprised by ZERO bites on the a rig. We gave it a good chance off an on all day. We would been better served to throw nothing but jerk baits all day.
  10. I can't make it, but I sure appreciate you putting it together.
  11. Fished from 0700-1830 yesterday with Cajun Angler. We started on main lake points and worked our way back looking for bass. Water temps were around 42 degrees and rose to around 44 degrees. We got more wind and less sun than I was hoping for. The forecast mid 60's did not happen and the wind blowing off the water was chilly. It was slower going than I had hoped for, but we did catch fish and learned a little more about this area. The bites we got were light. Most of our bass only had one hook in them. The fish hit on the pause EVERYTIME. We had some nice fish, but I sure would have liked more of them. We caught 13 fish combined. We caught them mostly on jerk baits, but we had two wart fish and one jig fish. I lost a bass that I think was over five, but I didn't have her on long. Today might be much better. The extra warmth from the rising temps and sunlight could really spark a good bite today. Our best area was one a channel swing halfway back a feeder creek not too far from a spawning flat. They are further along than I expected.
  12. You could wait a couple of months and fish the Current River below Jack's Fork.
  13. Some REALLY big Rainbows and Browns live there.

    Glup Alive?

They are pretty durable and have an extended shelf life as long as you don't left them dry out. The containers seem to have a natural desire to leak and IF they baits dry out they are hard as a rock and do not recover from that state.

    Just A Cat

Sorry. Al. I had to put one of my cats down on Christmas Eve. It was the right thing to do, but it still sucked.
  16. It seems like an annual $5 permit to retain Walleye paid to the anglers Home state (Mo or Arkansas rather than both) would bring in significant revenue. Of course, it depends upon people being honest.
  17. I really think I could be MORE than happy with a Blazer 17/54 with a Merc 60/40. I really was admiring all the Blazer that just about ran us over on the Current River about 100 times.
  18. Thank You for the intell.
  19. I'm hoping for the best. My son has become an accidental Chiefs fan. I'm more concerned about Reid as the coach than I am Smith as the QB.

    Glup Alive?

The 1 inch minnows work well for panfish and the 21/2 and 3 inch minnow took White Bass for me this weekend.
  21. Yes, that can be a VERY GOOD area to fish. Bass, crappie, and walleye.
  22. I love the Caddo. It was my little slice of Heaven when I lived n Minden, La Don't overlook the Hull Country Rivers like the Llano, Blanco, etc.
  23. AND how warm the water is. The fish could be frozen, or prespawn, or in the middle of spawn. April brings a lot more stability in temps, but not water level.
  24. Years ago, I tried Fireline. I found it to be really brittle. I broke it multiple times with a quick wrist snaps. There are multiple posts where ppl are in agreement with you and have said braid with a short piece of leader is a great combo.
