    71) Greenside Darter , I got pretty frustrated yesterday when I struggled to find a certain fish that I thought would be pretty straightforward. Today makes up for it. Glad to get onboard with my 15 th lifer of the year.

    Lots of stuff that seemed out of reach. I've got to hit the local creeks and nail down some probables and hopefuls. Ive got more road trips to make to catch more "local" lifers. I'm going to start trying 1-2 hr trips looking for mad toms. I have a couple of proven locations. I wish I had a local buddy to add strength of numbers.

    It really isn't a competition between us, but I get that it was frustrating when I had a early run of success while you were stymied by events beyond your control. im pressing a bit, but it's gonna be all right

    FTR, I have plenty of increasing difficulties associated with advancing age so I don't tease anybody about that. micro fishing is a different challenge than conventional stuff. Both can be tough or easy.. Good Job Dave! Keep on Keeping on

    I think I have done both. It's fine to have a little mono underneath ; I'd probably tie a uni to uni there since it won't be in play much. I have not learned to FG. I'm doing Alberto or three loop surgeons knot to attach leader

    My halibut didn't tasty fishy, walleye have a great texture but not a fishy taste. Mahi mahi is just the best.

    A definite maybe. Their colors were so vibrant that I got my hopes up. My memory was fuzzy on the target darter fin colors, I knew they had been caught in that creek. In my ignorance, I never dreamed Rainbow Darters would be there in such abundance

    Not pictured are the Long Eared Sunfish and Green Sunfish. Just because. They absolutely get in the way and wreck your bait.
