The bad encounters leave a bad taste in your mouth. I still have one with a certain one of them. And yah. That guy has an issue. I have issues when they treat you like you are doing something wrong or have the attitude of catching you up to something

Nah, 9/10 of them are just doing their jobs. It’s the one that needs to prove their authority that spoils it. Most of my encounters with them are a quick license check and on their way. I’ve ran into more privileged a holes trying to keep a 9.5 inch crappie, cause it’s “close enough

Is this at leech lake? I was on leech 4 winters ago. Temperature was -33 an our augers barely were long enough to get through the ice. Fishing wasn’t great, but can be phenomenal for walleye. With all the pictures at the guides. I don’t remember seeing burbot.

I just think they jack with you because they don’t have much better to do or want to show some sort of authority. I was fishing walleye and crappie on Stockton once and had 2 come up on me quiet as a mouse. Had their hand on the gunnel before I knew it. They checked the lengths of my smallest fish and checked my license. The older more experienced warden was satisfied but the younger one questioned me “why are you fishing for crappie in a duck boat and a yellow lab?” I explained to him this was my only boat, which was a tracker grizzly, and I used it for multiple purposes. He goes on to question me on what species of ducks I hunt. This is mid to late May, mind you and I’m fishing. I could tell the older agent and gentleman was as annoyed as I was. But some for whatever reason do choose to jack with you.

I think conservation agents can be lumped into that.

I hear ya. That was my point, more and more games that were free will continue to go to streaming. People will continue to pay. I just wish I had a product that could make me 162 million in roughly 3 hours (27 million viewers times roughly 6 bucks). That doesn’t include what they made in advertising.

And the NFL loves to hear that point of view! Money in the bank.

My point is that this will be the trend whether people like it or not. Thursday night games on prime for example…. College will soon follow. Unfortunately this will continue. Heard today that the CHEIFS game on peacock was the most watched streaming event ever. Open those wallets up, the NFL is ready to take more money

I did the old Kenai river trip. Best bang for the buck. My 10 year old gal and me. It was the best vacation I’ve been on. She hooked and landed fish. Not the wilderness experience w a picket line on the river but she had a great time and I was extremely happy w her performance grinding on the river

This country has gone from “ what Can I do for my country” to “ what can my country do for me”. Till that changes. We’ll have a huge problem! Peoples feelings. Man. Life’s hard. Deal!
