  1. nice smallie Jim!!!!!
  2. I lost my phone in the river like a gaper the week we were just down there.ugghhh. I wasn't able to get too many pics at all and just now received my new phone. One day my daughter and I brutalized an area with the Ned....caught so many we quit counting the, as you say "little rat smallmouth" hahahaha with a few 16's nixed in. Through out the week I did bring a few to hand I measured at 18 and a good number of 17 's for how little I fished. No beasts though.....the flood really changed every section of the river and was very interesting to say the least. The last pic is right before my phone went bye bye....clear water down in that watershed.....also sorry in advance JoeD for the hanging nipple shot and the gut shots hahahaha way too much fried chicken and pork chops that week
  3. nice fish Gavin.....this last week was nuts for fishing.....when I fished it was epic. That water looks very familiar
  4. I'm doing that stretch tomorrow very early....sounds like they were snapping.
  5. sweet!!!! I floated that stretch with my nephew last week and did really well numbers wise but, all the fish we landed were between 12 to 15 inches. I did loose something very big in the hole where you saw the filleted fish down by the bluff wall in the middle of the river on an HD craw.....it stayed down and towed me around and then just came un buttoned. It was a nice float none the less with my Nephew Mason who is elevating his fishing skill level very fast.
  6. The river bank in St.Louis County
  7. yeah I am crushing fish down here from the bank even as they are chocking on top water ....it's en fuego....I need to find somebody to go fish with as the solo trips and pics are lame ever since I was kicked out of the club
  8. ehh Gavin has a point there......every creek and river is flooding here and you are asking about where to go fish that may not be flooding??? give me a break!!!! I have an answer for him.....buy a Missouri Gazetteer and go on this link http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=lsx do some homework on your own. Explore a little and figure some of this crap out for yourself. I don't think this fishing forum is for exposing your favorite stream or lake as much as it isn't for "guilting" someone as you said to help some people out in serious trouble right now......which is not what Gavin was doing IMO. Ummm Haris if you can't figure out where to go to help with sandbagging you are more clueless than I could have ever imagined......if you actually wanted to help??
  9. good for you and thanks for the help man!!!....I have been going down there twice a day in between shifts at the insurance office....I smell like a pig!!!!
  10. Jim they increased their predictions......http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=lsx&gage=vllm7 43.7 I am just getting to Vance rd to help sand bag.....it's all I can do to help
  11. Hahahaha captain obvious sign but, I guess they are needed. I am sooo ready to do some fishing I can taste the river air....it's gonna be a few now but, now I can put My SeaArk in at Valley Park and run for miles once the river goes back down some....that is always a treat for me
  12. If the forecast holds up the river will be at least 11 feet over Marshall Rd in Valley Park. My dumb floated down there in the Winter Flood in 2015 and got caught up on a street sign and flipped my yak......had to swim in 50 degree water and it was sketchy at best.....one of the not so smart moves in my life.....don't be like my me
  13. Phil this is the one I use.....not exactly realtime but, you can do One hour totals and storm totals.....it's updated every 6 minutes or so https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=SGF&product=N1P&overlay=11101111&loop=yes go to the right side under the rainfall tab and update the loop
  14. Absolutely awesome Wrench
  15. I have seen your collection and it was quite impressive....someone would be doing good for themselves to buy either of those vessels.....sometimes guys like you and I just have to let go and quit collecting.....I know it's hard for me
  16. I opted out last night.....I have fished it in the past and don't feel like donating anymore money to AIA.......too many gapers in crappy weather for me. Good luck to anyone fishing it though
  17. Who cares?????..... Bass Pro sucks!!!!! That place is an in case of emergency only. Denny Dennis locally or Tackle Wharehouse gets 98% of my business Go see Tim Kirchoff over at Denny Dennis and get some actual personal service from a true fisherman. My opinions of BPS are based only on the St.Charles store as it is the only one I have ever gone to other than the one in Destin Florida. The St. Charles store is lame in it's selection on most cutting edge products......TW gets my cash
  18. yeah I am starting to think it just is not worth sitting in rain ALL day Saturday and then some nice high pressure moving in on Sunday.......that is completely typical of this event though......bad weather
  19. I paddled up from Allenton access last evening and floated back.....fishing is on fire right now there. I have been on a hot streak of recent.....I have waded or paddled 5 times in 10 days. The bass on the small streams I have been wading are for the most part locked on beds. I fished a creek in Crawford county last Friday that I have never fished before and it has a fish population that honestly was unbelievable. I may end up fishing the Big B B this weekend on the upper end of the lake.....I have to give my buddy a yes or no answer here real fast....may have to go pay cash at Fitz's or Osage Beach Bait & Tackle???
  20. Hawg Troughs are a great tool for measuring fish.....Would fisherman on this forum be into buying some from a local company with their logo on it???? https://store.radvandamwarehouse.com/yellow-hawg-trough-fish-ruler-by-hagens-p2487.aspx
  21. Hahahaha sweet pics Al....here is my front yard the same day....Turkeys all over recently
  22. Very Nice Aaron....that's what all the purchases and homework are a product of....you are in a zone that not many can get to at all Your Knowledge + skill = epic memories Awesome job my friend
  23. Mitch's Brisket was KILLER
