-
I guess I should have just called you.....I can't find anything shorter than 11 inches.
-
Has anyone here ever seen or know of threaded pin post for pedistals bases that are shorter than 11 inches???? The shortest I can find is 11 inches....if someone here can show me where to get them shorter than 11 inches, I will give you my Cardinal tickes for the upcoming homestand....I only have two seats but, they are good. thanks for anyones help here and I really hope someone gets to sit in my seats for a game.

I love it!!!!! I will be buying a jet if I can move something out of my garage first. I have already cut an area in the woods next to me, where the canoe trailer will sit after the jet purchase. I promise I won't run any of you guys down and will be quite friendly......I just need a jet and I will continue to float and wade like I always have, I will just have a vehicle to get where the true trophies are on the river. Sorry I like jets and they're legal.

How did the Lowrance do??? you need to paddle up the Big as far as you can and find some deep cuts...there are fish there, they just only feed actively for short burst through out the day.A four inch White curly tail grub w/a Roadrunner head works very good around any wood with some flow in that area.any meduim diving crank that looks alot like a shad does well if you can find the right ambush points.....with your Lowrance and some paddling you should be able to find the right holes.some very big bass have been caught were you paddled.....very big

Smallmouth Fishing On Meramec By Steelville This Sunday
Smalliebigs replied to Scott25.stl's topic in Smallmouth Talk
"Your just a selfish jet owner who doesn't care that boats like yours are hurting the smallmouth in our rivers. Now, let's all sit back and wonder why it's so darn hard to catch an 18-inch smallmouth on the Meramec." Wow dude you don't know Mitch very well and I'm not sure why you find it so hard to catch an 18 inch plus on the Meramec????? until the other day I would at the very least get a shot at fish that big every time out on the Meramec......I don't understand you're struggles there..........Mitch is very conservation minded and he would not partake in anything that harmed Smallies or their chances to reproduce.Your opinion of the water beeing destroyed by the boats, well I have been there done that and I know one thing it sucks to be a weekend warrior, there are thousands out there on the weekends it's brutal. My wife and I owned a nice little place on the Meramec below Blue Springs Creek and on the weekends we would sit on our small sand bar and have happy hour.Around 6:45 to 7:00 pm the "poo poo parade" as my wife called it, would begin. The water would become mysteriously dirty all of the sudden like a flash flood was coming in from upstream but, this was no flash flood. The water would not only be quite silted but, it would contain bikini tops and bottoms, condoms, trash, ect....all from the days floaters getting out at Blue Springs camp ground....it waz stupid. So if you want to ban jets you need to ban floaters they are just as bad as you claim for the river......it is what it is. Fish during the week and never fish with an outfitter and expect to see anything but a bunch of clowns and drunks. If you want to see what true trophy fishing on the Meramec is go fishing with Mitch and you will see how jets, if operated correctly in a safe manner are something that you have dreamed about.Total access to the river, for me as a passenger in a jet the opportunity to see that much terrain and geological formations is crazy good. I am a big non motor river fishing guy too several yaks and canoe/trailers.....I just hope jets are not out lawed because I have been looking for the right used one now for about a year and half now....the right used 16/50 or 52 with a tiller 60/40 I'm snatching it up. I will still float and fish from a jet as well in the future....I love them both.....please don't ban them Oh, and have fun finding serenity on the Big Piney on weekends -

Spawning Bass Kimberling And Dam Area
Smalliebigs replied to Alex Heitman's topic in Table Rock Lake
Wayne, I know it can handle it I just think it's a silly process to take a fish from a bed and weigh her at another locale and release her there as well. I have taken many fish off a bed @ Table rock and put them all back, I just feel stupid even doing that. I just hope the fish they weigh have laid the eggs and are at least gaurding then mabey some of the fry will have a shot, I doubt it though......possibly the buck will hang around and defend who knows. I know alot of guys paychecks depend on catching some bedding fish though. -
Spawning Bass Kimberling And Dam Area
Smalliebigs replied to Alex Heitman's topic in Table Rock Lake
let's hope it stays that way but, some of the best in the world are there to pluck them off beds so good luck to those precious spawning fish you guys have in that awsome lake.....sorry for the rant -
Really hope they have no sucess on the bed fish....... seems stupid to take a fish from a bed and transport it to the weigh in and release it but, they all do it and it's part of the game......god luck to the spawning fish on my favorite lake in Missouri, I'll see you in three weeks....hopefully
-
Sounds awsome!!!! we need more of that in school......kudos to your school Seth
-
I am nowhere near as experienced as ome on this forum but, does this happen that often????? I have basicly seen this in two big lakes and smaller lakes in Missouri in the last week or so. 80 plus today, tomorrow and Sunday, if fish haven't locked in they will.......weird.....WARM I guess when it goes from not really winter directly to warm the crappie go and then it gets even a little warmer and the bass say....let' get it on.......I don't blame them.Lets hope for an easy month of April on the rivers water wise......no appacoliptic flooding please

Going To Hit Some Marginal Creeks Today
Smalliebigs replied to Smalliebigs's topic in Smallmouth Talk
Well Mitch called me and talked me out of the creek deal and we took his jet out....always a treat and WE BLEW IT......not good. I think they about to spawn where we fished.....very tough today but very fun none the less......Mitch you are the man, I'm drinking a Pinot Noir right now in your honor...if you couldn't tell from my typing The highlight of the day was a possible state record spotted gar crusing around us like a shark chewing lazily on an estimated 10 to 12 inch sucker...pretty cool no smallies....ughhh -

http://www.tacklewar....html#multiview very noisy spinner that takes a little bit to get used to but, man it was killing smallies around logs and lay downs if you could bang the brush with it especially. I know they are are exspensive but, just letting guys know what can produce for ya on the Big river. Gold Shad with tandem gold willow....nice

Mr. Poppen I did a spit take when I read this....thank you very much, I needed a good laugh. I agree with Gavin....stay out of the fishes bedroom until they're done protecting their kids........just our opinion

LOL....that's awsome. We did okay out of Baxter last weekend but as you said a bit fustrating. we are waiting a couple of weeks as the lake will be ridiculous with tourneys..... i hope it is as unproductive for them as it was for us and then they will go nuts when we get back down 04/07/2012....at least thats what i'm hoping for anyway.

Matt, don't let the spooky stories scare you from the Meramec. There are plenty of fish in the lower Meramec and I think it's cool you are actually willing to try. The holes Mitch gave you a map of are no lie, they hold Walleye and Bass. The area of Sherman at the end of Cresent rd. there is an access you have to walk to but, you can access above Lone Elk park across stream from Castlewood. This area I have caught all three species of Black bass and in the deep pool there are Walleye. On the opposite side of the river out of Glencoe as Mitch graciously exposed the Walleye hole there you can proceed down stream to Castlewood and catch fish.....the home of Zombie road. Greasy is correct there is a sunken small barge on the northern shore thru there with a dreged out series of flood holes on the sherman side of the river and when the water levels are right you can get your boat in to them and the fishing can be darn good. It may be polluted but there are fish to catch and please report back on your trips thats what this forum was made from. I don't care if it's a dirty river and people don't think there's fish in there I want some reports with pics just kidding Matt.....have fun on your breaks exploring....theres some cool stuff to see down in that dirty dangerous river.

You got that right!!! Blah....blahh....blahhhh and the beat goes on........IgnoranceBlissAnglers....heres to some Didymo and river Otters in a river near you soon. the smallies are tearing up 3/8 ounce War Eagle Blue/Herring spinner baits on the river we fished this weekend and this thread made it ten pages....
-
Sweet Dennis!!!! and the pic is cool too. I will be in Lampe this weekend throwing a rig for the first time, I would kill for a nice fat TR Smallie like that.

Possession And The Law

"We saw a guy at Baptist on the Current last weekend, first thing in the morning with a big brown on a stringer" that sucks.....think of how many we throw back.....all of them for me...oh well, it's legal.
