I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with the lower end of Crane creek where it meets the James river??? My wife and I are going to look at a piece of property that has the last 1/2 mile of the creek and a mile of river frontage of the James there. There is an access called Kerr below the property that looks like it has a pig farm adjacent to it???...which scares me some. Is there anything else in this area I should be aware of???.... I am meeting a surveyor tomorrow to get a better idea of the land situation. Is the fishing any good on the James down that far?? The property is accessed thru another farm who owns the next 1.5 miles above this on Crane, up to a Cemetery. I think I will be re visiting my fly fishing addiction if this deal goes thru any local knowledge of what may be an issue would be a big help and would give you full access to my possible future land purchase

They have a Hellgramite bait coming out that I have been fishing and it will really fish awesome on a drop shot, even though I have been fishing them on a shakey. abkeenan is very correct drop a Binks on them😃 also I may be down with some sort of sponsorship level

Sweet report David.... pretty much how catch them down there. I usually nail some nice schoolers early and resort to drop shotting and an HD craw after day light and some Jamaican rum 😜

hahahahahahaha......Sorry but, you must not know many baitwhores like me. I buy direct from Japan and I buy from guys like you. For me it's all about selection of the best and most unusual stuff and ease of doing business. For Christ sake I just looked at my last 9 orders on TW and it's not good......way too much of my money goes to them. No offense but yer question seemed funny to me because it is a resounding YES for me but, that is coming from a guy who dresses like this for a fishing trip and makes his own fishing jerseys so I can look like the pros

We only own a house on a lake but, we value knowing how to swim because my family is in a river or a lake almost every weekend. Also as Pete said stay the hell away from the Meramec it is very dangerous with strainers around every corner, the current is ferocious and it is racist at it's core.

If you can’t swim and go get in the river you will probably drown, it’s just that simple.... why is it always Black people drowning there?? My family swims very good and we all learned to swim very good at a young age. My 8 year old swims like a fish, the bummer is the swim meets are an all day deal wow do they burn up some time but, she is a very good swimmer. We were just on vacation and she and I treaded water together out in our lake and had a little contest to see who could stay out the longest hahahahaha I gave up after about 40 mins and left her out there swimming around the cove with her cousins for another 20 mins or so. People need to learn how to swim if they are going to go out in lakes and rivers or pools... sounds pretty stupid even saying it.

This is the exact same for me where I chase these crazy things.... you nailed it....other than I’m fishing the lower end of the Meramec and Mississippi... they are always there but, only feed when you said and trying to wrap your brain around anything else with those crazy fish will make a man go nuts.... they are just fun

I don’t know who Larry is but, if the MDC is shooting hogs on Jonny’s land for free??? Well that is lame. As Wrench said nobody knows it’s just a claim so I just leave it at that. I hear and see claims of fish being a certain size on here and I deal with it the same way..... yeah okay sure and move on.

The fish could not resist this bait just bumped down stream in moving water.... it was kind of a joke how easy it was really. They have another very good bait IMO

Yep I caught some nice ones on a MB Quick Walker and Paul just lit up some fish all day long on a Whopper Plopper, which I was very jealous of as he chucked a custom bait caster setup I was drooling over. When we talked to others they weren’t catching doo doo though. We fished in Tornadic Super Cells on Tuesday, fishing was epic that day to be honest. you know the drill there Gavin

These will work anywhere lake or river....I used them rigged on a Tackle HD small football head but they could be C rigged and honestly the thought of drop shoting these is exciting...hell they would be wicked on a Shakey head. I’m pretty sure I went too far already and they are mad at me but, this bait is sick!!! I can’t wait to buy some from them 😃
