Rain is fine, lighning/thunder nope I am gone. Best walleye fishing I get usually requires a rain suit.

Many years ago i loved in Forsyth and any time you could see a ton of folks fishing it usually meant the fishing was good, but catching was bad.

With a little muddy water in it, the sac might get good.

If I get a chance I will cave in to the urge in a heartbeat.

I believe that most treatment plants do very well. There are obviously some that are failing or undersized or poorly designed, but overall doing well. Big rains wash everything into the water sheds from agricultural chemicals and wastes to lawn fertilizer, not to mention the amount of petroleum byproducts from daily life. It is a big problem and getting bigger. Do we as a society have the desire and fortitude to do what needs to be done to protect our water resources? It certainly won't be fast, easy or cheap. I can remember many years ago my father saying America doesn't realize how important clean water is, when oil is no longer required in huge amounts or maybe before, was will be fought over access to water.

Just read the mention of pea soup. Right now I am wanting some split pea soup with bacon. I am sort of banned from driving by my wife as I only have one eye I can see out of, and look like I am half zombie, but it's only a few miles to the little store in town where I can get some smoked hocks and a couple cans of black eye peas, will work well enough for me. Heck they might even can a can of split pea soup! Called an audible, only one package of very small hocks, but had a big beautiful smoked jowl, still had some whiskers on it. Chunked up about half of it and tossed into Dutch oven to sizzle a little and oh my the smell. Added 3 can of bush best black eye peas, and a little extra spices. Leaving it to simmer all afternoon into a fatty, porky pot of happiness.

Dan I tried the sitting around thing for a couple days and it nearly made me crazy. Went to work today but nobody want me around since it is somewhat contagious and the blister stage. I am gonna try to work from home some, but the painkillers they prescribed are pretty stout, sometimes things don't quite seem to make sense. So no reloading ammo or such as that.

Turns out it is Shingles I caught. When it is also in yur eye you get to walk out of the Dr. Office and into he Optometrist office for more treatments. Should it ever be a choice between shingles or a shotgun blast of rock salt to the face take the shotgun. I never realized how much your hair/skin contracts and moves until every time it does causes a wave of burning pain across your scalp. However I still wake up and look down at the ground, and thank God for giving me another day. And I can still worry about things like what the rains have done to the walleye fishing!

At least computer nerds can be useful at times, I have yet to find a use for golfers. With the possible exception that it reduces the number of people fishing. And I am incorrigible when it comes to sensitivity training. I am the good bad example.

They don't feel anything after you give them a good BONK on the head.

Did you see any walleye caught? The old pink slab slayer is a good choice. -
Wow, goose pizza?and it looks delicious. Marinated meat, grilled on a skewer how can it be bad! I am taking my batch of summer sausage out of he smoker momentarily. Almost 30 pounds of jalapeno mix with some added spice cause I like it to have a kick.

I gave it a quick try on Sat evening, from the bank. One other guy there a local who fishes a lot there. Said he hasn't seen a walleye caught yet, and we didn't change it hat evening either. Hoping for a good warm couple inches of rain to get them started. Have heard a few reports of guys out on the lake catching some.

If the rains get the sac up, be sure to toss in a walleye rod when you go.

Great now I have to google adult cookie cutters.

Five Questions On Crappie Fishing
MOPanfisher replied to David Unnerstall's topic in General Angling Discussion
I am secure enough in my manhood that I will admit to really enjoying the"tap" of a crappie hit and catching hem on UL gear. Of course once in a while that tap turns out to be a walleye, white bass, wiper, catfish or even a nice bass. I don't enjoy catching them as much in the winter as I do casting to them though. Some of it is the social aspect with up to 4 guys in the boat etc. Heck even fishing for white bass can be fun under those circumstances. -
I went.fishing tonight, well I went casting don't think there was a fish anywhere near me. However my wife made.some smothered pork steaks, smothered in home made dressing with sausage and mushrooms. Mmmmm comfort food.

Five Questions On Crappie Fishing
MOPanfisher replied to David Unnerstall's topic in General Angling Discussion
Well each lake and each fisherman has different needs and styles but I will give what I normally do. Anytime you feel a hit set the hook, if something feels different set the hook, if in doubt set the hook, jerks are free. By set the hook I don't mean the old cross their eyes routine, all it requires is a short fast twitch. I use jigs but grew up fishing minnows, always hooked them just behind the dorsal fin so they would wiggle, never once worried or thought about it as torturing them. I am too lazy to use minnows any more, getting hem, keeping them alive etc. I have never mastered the art of the long pole but those hat have do well, and I am a braid guy, used tie direct to the jig now nomally use a mono leader. I can and will copy how a buddy is fishing IF I am not catching fish, however I am a bit stubborn and will often stick with my chosen method or bait and just grumble. I have been beaten so many times fishing is don't even worry about it anymore. -
I don't know that I have ever had them all together, but I don't see how it could be bad! Especially add somee fresh fried fish fillets to that menu.

Come on RPS I added a photo of mine, throw me a photo of the pizza, my phone is drool proof!

Going fancy smancy tonight. Wife out on grandma duty so I stopped by the store and found a couple cute little salmon steaks. Gonna season them up and givery them a quick sear in butter with a little olive oil, along with a creamy butter/lemon/caper/dill/garlic sauce. Side of salad with cucumber and tomato in the bottom of the bowl and a handful of bagged salad on top. What makes it smancy you ask, simple I am using 2 different forks, BOOM!
