I was one of the kids who would take the green globs of cooked canned spinach, myself and one other kid who wasn't quite right would compete to see who could eat the most. The cafeteria cooks had a little shaker jar of spicy vinegar they kept for me. I loved that stuff.

Fishing, now we are gonna pretend OA is about fishing. I had to do a search for strawberry jam with balsamic and found a couple recipies, but gotta say I am at best unconvinced. As for fishing I love fishing!

Laid a nice piece of pork loin on the grill, got the fat cap seared nicely, mixed up a batter for the zuchini and green tomaotoes, and even made a pig sauce because I had spare time, sweet spicy baby rays as the base, some Orange juice, a little soy sauce and some coca cola, oodly it tastes like plum sauce.

Little red worms, preferably from underneath some dried cow pies along the creek was always my best bait.

Well now that makes it venison more intriguing!

I will email you tomorrow and we can see what I have that you would like for him.

What is this balsamic strawberry jam you speak of?

The woods are full of fungus!

I did a drive by on y 4 wheeler this evening (after an inch of rain in about 20 minutes) through a spot than burned off last year, no funji waved their arms or called out, and I just am not excited enough by them to go brave the skeeters, ticks, chiggers and poison ivy. I suspect there are plentry around, but the spirit was unwilling and the flesh weak. -
Wish I had taken a photo, but was in way too much of a hurry to eat. Wife made some bacon weaves, just the size of a slice of bread and popped them.in the oven. While that was cooking we sliced up a zuchini right out of the garden and mixed up a sort of tempura batter, and fried the slices. Ended up as a BZT. Bacon, Zuchini, and Tomato sammich. Cease dressing for extra flavor. Sadly the tomato was a store bought one, but soon that too will be out of the garden. If I could figure out how to grow bacon plants it would be perfect!

Boiled bacon? That is a bigger travesty than a band on he water to me. -
While piddling around yesterday I did a little expirament with my ned sruff. Since the pool was set up I rigged up a non zinger and flipped into the pool water. It would consistently lay flat on the bottom, then I rigged up a half of a zinker Z and flipped it in, over half the time it would stand up or at worst slowly settle to about a 45 degree angle. I really like the way the zinger stood up and didn't lay flat, now I have a bunch of ned stuff to cull out dang it.

If I don't forget I will take pics this evening. I put a venison hind quarter into the smoker this morning. Had deboned it already, shot it full.of a mixture of coca cola soy, teriyaki, spices and whatever else I happened to spot. Seasoned the outside as well, now to see how it tastes in a few hours. Here is a pic after a couple hours, another ciuple hours and I will bag it up.sonic doesnt dry out, add some more aujus and let it roll till supper time at friends house. Should be silly tender and juicy, at least that's the hope. Have shot them full of ham cure before and let them turn into venison has, pretty good that way too, have even done them with the bone in, very cool looking that way, but I had already deboned it last fall so didn't take up a as much room in the sreezer. Sure smell good but a smoker always smells good. We'll I let it go too long, and it dried out. Flavor was good, but dry, the aujus was critical.

I have a little bag thing that holds 3 plano 360 type boxes, his if you send me an address. Or a big old school flip top with trays that fold up and out, or maybe a Plano magnum 2 sided box. All looking for a reason to exist. Forgot to add that the 3 box bag has 3 brand new boxes in it. If he is big enough I have one of the monster 3700 red bags from bass pro that I have a box or two for, but I quit using it because it was just too much. Short version is if he doesn't come out of this with more stuff than he lost I will be amazed. If JM doesn't need any of it I would be happy to donate some of it for another's grandson that needs a good start for fishing tackle additction.

In that country and the fact you didnt say it was a black panther, yeah it is certainly possible.

Let's put it to the test. Need 20 or 30 volunteers, half will go party and half will fish that night within a mile. I volunteer for, well either. -
Find Bass Any Time at Lake of the Ozarks

I asked one of the biologists once about stipe there, they stock them every 5 years, last one was in 2015 as nomolites said. Even them smaller ones are fun to catch on a crappie rod. -
Wading small creeks with an ultra light spinning rig, and a few jigs, lures and spinners in my shirt pocket is absolutely my favorite thing to do. Haven't been to my local one in a few years now maybe it's time, although it was getting really graveled in.

NICE. those first two have completely different body shapes. But daRN nice fish just the same.

I took my boat on a fairly long haul (for me) last year. I simply just went ahead a pulled the wheels, and replaced the bearings, repacked etc. Was a little different that it used to be years ago, until I found that dang little keeper thing under the castyle nut and hitter in the grease. Couldn't tell.it from the outside but the rear seal on one was leaking. I kind of lime getting greasy on simply mechanical fixes, even it it does lead to some cussing at times. Good quality grease, properly packed bearings and don't destroy the new seals putting hem in and you shul be able to remove that worry for the fall duck adventures.

My kids love all that sort of stuff too, they just never cared about fishing. Maybe I am biased with my kids but having heard all my life about how these dang kids nowadays (fill in complaint of choice), but I am quite impressed with an awful lot of them, very intelligent, thoughtful, kind hearted, and willing to learnn. I actually am thinking that some.of the younger generations will be the saving grace for a lot of things. Will our world be different in 50 years, sure, at least I hope so but that doesn't mean it will be worse. With some of the technology coming out of the minds of those early nerds there are going to be a lot of changes. Hope I live long enough to see them.

Looks kind like a deformed puffball.

That would be a tasty if unusual combination, sure would make for some textural differences. Maybe the rain last night will pop some up, or Al least my yard crop of boletes.

Have done it multiple times, most of those guys have now also switched to braid. Actually I think an 8 lb braid allows more lure action than 10 lb mono, it's smaller and softer. But it doesn't bother me either way, I am not a competitive fisherman that a few lbs may mean the difference in a paycheck or not so it suits me just fine. But if I am not mistaken the few times I watch something like MLF they sure seem to be using braid a lot also.

I have always heard you are supposed to add the words "in bed" to the fortunes. And that's all I have to say about that.
