Squirrels cry out for the cast iron skillet. Browned and then steamed to tender, and of course gravy. Man I wish I had a skillet full right now. Instead I will likely take the wife out for supper, cheap Chinese buffet
More hydro dams = more lakes to fish. Of course every one eliminates a perfectly good river. I would think that those EV outboards would have a solar panel either on top of the cowling or built into it. Wouldn't be big enough to do a lot but beats paddling. They would probably work fine for me as I don't run far when I go but unless they are gonna give me one for free I reckon my Ole Yammer will be just fine.
Seems like every big ice storm there is at least one lineman injured or killed by someone with a home generator hooked up and not disconnected from the line. Definitely set it up to plug in at the box if possible then you are right there to throw the main. Also running it monthly is a good thing, and ethanol free fuel if diesel add something like power service to it.. More folks than I can count have fueled them up and let them set sometimes for years and are shocked that they won't start or run. Who knew? I always wanted one that runs off of a tractor PTO, but realistically I don't need any of them.
You don't lose them but it takes a bit sometimes to get them back to near previous skills. Riding a bike for example, I can still ride one but I guarantee that I can't do the crap I used to and survive. Might have more to do with being able to crash and just get back up and go again.
I never mastered a yo-yo but break out a carom board and it's game ON.
Being older now I never expect to have my meal paid for, regardless of who I votes me. If with my kids I pay for us, them and anyone that comes with them. Fortunately that is seldom a higher end place.
Many years ago we went any did the paintball thing, a guy wanted to join in, sure why not. He had a full auto paintball gun, we lasted about 30 seconds, turns out he played professionally, as if we even knew that was a thing. Was still fun.
Oh heck I can't count the number of Shotgun shells, rimfire and centerfire rounds I have disassembled in my life. It is tough to make one go bang accidentally. And home brewing a semi to full auto is generally NOT easy nor will fire more than a few times before jamming, just a waste of time with risk of prison for dessert. I am picturing a full auto pellet gun though!
It will also split the case. It is NOT the same a a .38/.357. Those two are same diameter case just different length. .22 LR and .22 WMR have same diameter bullets but different diameter cases, due to type of bullets used. There isn't enough power in a .22 LR to damage the rifle and at contact range it will work to drop a lamb, personally I would find a .22 LR rifle to use instead, but it will work.
I might have the horsepower, traction and skill to outrun cop and survive but I can't outrun their darn radio. Besides I can't afford new times if they throw down some spike straps. Besides they would probably be waiting at my house when I got home.
Tonight is pork steaks and modified Johnny cakes on the blackstone. Modified because I added some Cajun seasoning and grated sharp white cheddar, because that was what was in the fridge that why.
I have a 10# bag of chicken quarters waiting to get brine and smoked for Superbowl Sunday. I love smoking chickens, super easy to do and always delicious.
