  1. I am just gonna sit and suffer until my insurance company decides I can get an MRI to figure out what is wrong with my shoulder, then hopefully start down the road of getting it fixed. As of right now there is no fishing in my immediate future and I aint happy about that!
  2. While I agree with it, this shoulder if mine may take it away.
  3. Honestly that landowner held out longer than I would have. I HATE litter bugs and trashers. If you know or can find the land owner don't be afraid to go introduce yourself and meet him, might get permission, don't cost much to try.

    What's Cooking?

Thank goodness you aren't using Corona Beer, you might get a virus.
  5. Ah heck in a few weeks you won't be able to put a jig in the water at LOZ, Truman or Pomme withut a crappie molesting it. I have a friend coming down first week of May, every time he come down regardless of when he bring in a cold front, North win8f, or 30 plus mph wind. Every single time. But we go fishing and always manage to find a few. Good times they are coming. Fish till lunch, wander around the banks and pick up few morels and go back to fishing. Don't kow what all the high water last year will do to the morel crop. If not yu are one of them wild thunder chicken hunters it is even better.
  6. I grew exactly 3 shitakes after a lot of work on a dang log. But they were tasty. My system to find morels is to wander the woods, and end up throwing my walking stick, then I look real carefully around it. Then I fund a comfy spot and sit down and usually fall asleep, when I wake up and eventually remember where I am I go home with a few and claim I have walked miles.
  7. Not sure on the Honda, but believe that LSK in Lebanon will work on a Honda, not a lot of Honda motors around here. I go through Galmey 5 days a week, twice a day usualy. Whites Marine is where Oneshot is talking about, they can likely point you toward a Honda dealer. Heck just take it and some $$ to Whites Marine and leave with a new Crestline or go to LSK and leave with a Seark. Good time of year to be in MO everything is gonna start to pop soon. Walleye, white bass, crappie, morels, turkeys. I screen shot some area Honda repair centers.
  8. Cool, I will takes my chances. I can order a bag or dried beans or rice and the ups guy will kick it out at my door. Dry goods don't need any other care except be placed in a cool dry place, unless you are thinking years instead of Corona length. Heck if so just vacuum seal them an drop in a freezer. I am.more worried about if I have enough corn meal to fry fish with, oh heck I will just grill them.
  9. LOL, it could have gone Baaaaad quickly. Ewe ain't gonna pull the wool over our eyes, no sir.
  10. A and D Ointment, and maybe a shot of LA 400 just because. But since that isn't for humans maybe a shot of Jagermeister will do the trick. The A & D will keep it soft and help it heal, the Jagermeister is just to keep you calm.
  11. One of the treatments for Lyme disease was daily anti biotic for 90 days at a shot. Pretty hard to overdose on them, but they will mess with your system. And they were definitely over prescribed for many years. I would be a terrible doctor, if a patient was demanding some sort of treatment for something that it wouldn't affect I would prescribe orange tic tacs, sure fixed a lot of "sickess" in my kids, took them years to figure it out.
  12. Stopping antibiotics early does not create a better situation, leaving more of the bad infection behind instead of killing the rest of it out doe way more harm than good. As already pointed out anto biotic work on bacterial infections not viral ones. Anti biotic do stay in the system for a while depending dig on what type they are, but the level drops quickly, leaving the bacteria that are only slightly resistant alive to become more resistant. Think of it this way,it would be similar to only partially cleaning out a carburetor leaving behind deposits to that would allow the crud to begin to buold up again quickly, as opposed to fully cleaning it out and having a clean start. Old meds can indeed cause a reaction in some folks but you are talking normally years old meds. Anti biotic are not all the same, some don't work.against certain things, some are very powerful and only used for severe infections, some are very broad spectrum and often prescribed as a catchall, but that happens less and less anymore.
  13. Wow, so much incorrect.
  14. Dang, I hate that green slime, but I do catch some wallys when it is there I guess.
  15. Influenza A I believe is an actual test, not a Dr. Opinion what I have fund over the years of going to Dr myself and taking others is that what the Dr. Actually says is seldom translater accuraty by the patient. Even though I am somewhat I telligent, and sciency stuff doesn't phase me I get it wrong. My wife life's to be able to log on and see exacy what the doc wrote I there, sometimes I wasn't even very close in what I said. To be fair I often downplayed some of it too. Patients and eye witnesses are the worst source of facts around.
  16. Dang, the .22 ammo shortage was bad enough but a shortage of fishing tackle, that is bad. Good thing I he plenty and there are lots of folks who are pouring crappie jigs and jig heads. I suspect the lack of supply has more to do with workers being quarantined at hime and not working than fears of sending the virus in packages. But never under appreciate the ability of people to over react.
  17. Fyou do t get anyine here, Post it in cedar county sale sites on facebook. Plenty of folks who sell wood didn't get it all sold this year.
  18. If you have a compromised immune system, and are not sick stay home. I have had Dr. Cancel apps when flue was rampant and I only had check up scheduled, said the risk wasn't worth it.
  19. It's a bit early but walleye can sometimes be picked up off of the main and or Secondary windy point on things like shad raps and flicker shad or swim baits. Water is funky right now. Next couple of weeks of fairly warm weather should wake up the whites and wally. If I was gonna lo for bass, and let it be know I am NOT a bass fisherman, one of the places I would look is way up river where the water might be clearing up a bit, or in the very backe of coves that the south wind is pushing some warmer water and shad into. Me I am waiting for walleye time and gonna plant some lettuce, radishes and spinach in a cold frame for now. Will result hopefully in a nice wilted salad and fresh crappie fillets later on.
  20. That's it, you guys just keep milking it for all its worth.
  21. I will shake hands with about anyone. I know where my hands have been, odds are they have a better chance of catching something from me than I do from them. After my bone marrow transplant my wife tried to enforce no contact on me at church, had to sit in the back and she announced not to hug me etc. Best she could do was set a big bottle of germ ex by me and have me basically bathe in it. Good part is that apparently dogs weren't a problem, and I like dogs better than people anyway.

    What's Cooking?

I am not ashamed to admit that a sammich of rotisserie chicken and avacado sounds pretty good!

    What's Cooking?

Old school classic with a twist tonight. Wife away so I opted for grilled cheese and tomato soup. Mom got some deli sliced ham in the middle of her sammich, and the soup had some leftover red sauce that was heavy in garlic and basil added. Added a good dill pickle and some cottage for cheese for her and boom upscaked classic.

    What's Cooking?

My wife gores to great lengths to get a slight char on brussel sprouts and sometimes mixes in some cranberry raisins with them which I like, then drizzle balsamic on them. They can go from a nice char to dang I burned them pretry quickly though.
  25. I always figured I was living in the absolute best place at any given time, simply because I was there. Always have been able to find plenty to do. Worst for me was living in KC during the week. Had trouble finding things to do that didn't cost money. Finally discovered a school within walking distance of where I was staying and would walk over in the evenings and watch baseball practice.
