When I was a kid, I lived in a Missouri river town in NE Kansas. So... I always oriented myself to the River using instinct or the location of the sun. It was my crutch. Then I joined the military and moved away. Honestly... I now get lost all the time now without the point of knowledge... where's the river. So... I am very careful while in the outdoors. In my thirties, I got myself really lost in the woods. Took me about an hour or two to dig out of that hole.
LOL... I'm the guy who gets lost in the mall now.
I want to tie a fly or a jig for a fisherman that trolls for Walleye's in Kansas on an impoundment. I did a internet search and not finding much. I haven't caught a walleye in 40 years so I'm clueless. If you have a recipe or a video, please let me know.
I may be off for a bit so wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving all. Be safe and God speed. Finally... make sure you have at least one free hole left on your belt.
Sure... the morning rush of stupid trout is always a sure thing. What catches them at 2pm when the bite is off and everyone has gone home is the real question. What catches them in Dec and Jan after they are not being pellet fed for weeks.
Plus... I do catch some wild trout when I can.
Ranchers breakfast plus: beans, eggs, and steak. I had some leftover ribeye from a nicely cut steak from a butcher and leftover refried beans. This morning I made a plate with over (very) easy eggs, beans, steak, and cheese. It was sooooooo good.
