I fish a good portion of the shaded area at Rock Lane on a near daily basis whenever we're at Branson Yacht Club which is three or four times each year. Never around the docks but, rather, the point around the launch area and the back of the cove itself and it never even remotely occurred to me that I might be in violation.
Of course, as some of you know, I'm retired from the Kansas City District of the COE so I guess there's a certain symmetry to that.
Of course I've long believed that more regulation and legislation simply results in more opportunity and likelihood that someone will do something "wrong". And, more often than not, someone with an ax to grind will be right there to call them on it whether there's any harm or not and then "it's on" like Donkey Kong.
I'm pretty sure that reasoning and common sense (along with decency and respect) went out of style shortly after the teradactyl.
Man, I used to worry that I was starting to sound like my dad but now it's actually more like my granddad.
Doesn't make any of the three of us wrong though.
