  1. You gonna be there? We're coming in on the 30th and leaving on the 8th and then Kathy and I will be back on the 15th thru the 22nd.
  2. Ya know I was trying to keep it civil and innocent here and not even bring up tsunami's, hurricanes or earthquakes but there's always that ONE guy that just HAS to poke somebody in the eye! Just sayin'.......πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  3. We used to marvel at some of the size and talent that Baylor would put on the floor over the years but Scott Drew just didn't know how to coach. Can't say that anymore. Best defensive team in the country and best three point shooting team in the country ain't a bad combination but that was a clinic on how to beat a zone defense. And I'm pretty sure there's not a single McDonald's All American on that team and most were three and four star guys at best coming out of high school. Wasn't really much that Gonzaga could do about it either. Go man and get beat by athleticism or go zone and get beat by discipline and technique. Watching the Baylor guards toy with those guys out front was pretty amazing and entertaining. Until about the five minute mark if the fouls and free throws hadn't been so lopsided Baylor would have been up thirty easy. Although the best part might have been NOT having to watch Timme flex and kiss his biceps or blow kisses to the crowd. Everybody gets humbled at some point and that was his turn in the barrel. Priceless!
  4. It's almost like the world's largest aquarium. In the springtime when it's clear like that and they're on the beds we spend hours just sitting in the boat watching them. 90% of the time we don't even pick up a rod as it's just that fascinating to get back up in the pockets and observe. Three weeks from Friday!
  5. Gonzaga is playing UCLA in the semis. Baylor plays Houston on the other side of the bracket.
  6. Well done! And it's been a while since I had to concern myself with "limits' no matter what they are!
  7. Well scratch those prognostications! That's what's so crazy about this tournament almost every year. A team can look like the '84 Celtics for three or four games and then turn into the Bad News Bears in the blink of an eye. Either that or Gonzaga is just that good and they're making a pretty strong case for just that. Good golly, watching last night a guy would think that USC didn't win a game all year! I don't know that it can be done but I'm pulling for whoever is playing Gonzaga from here on out though cause Timme is about as an obnoxious "look at me" showboat as I've seen lately and Suggs throws more arm bars than Ronda Rousey and ain't NEVER called for it. Baylor anyone?
  8. Yeah he's a great guy and very meticulous in caring for his stuff. And, yeah, that Vexus is nice but you guys didn't get cheated by any means!
  9. Aw, c'mon. Throw in a couple cases of beer and a handle of Jack and they'll be just fine! It'll be fun they said....... What could go wrong they said......πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  10. That boat looks really familiar. Did you happen to get it from a former Ranger guy that now works for Vexus? If so, I know it was danged well cared for. Regardless, you guys are gonna love it!
  11. I was amazed that Arkansas still had a great chance to win this game despite playing so poorly. When they weren't kicking it into the third row they scored with efficiency until the fatal stretch toward the end when they quit driving it and like Alabama the night before shot themselves out of it by firing up guarded three's and rushed mid range stuff. No team can go eleven minutes or whatever it was without scoring against a team like Baylor and have a positive outcome much less to be fighting back from an eighteen point deficit. Nonetheless, it was pretty impressive how they kept getting back in it and man do they ever hit the boards. To give up that kinda size and muscle and yet actually out rebound Baylor by five says a lot about their effort and determination. And by the way, did anybody see the announcement on the rule change regarding offensive fouls at the beginning of the postseason? Never in the history of the game have they interpreted what constitutes a charge the way they have the last month. I mean the defender ain't square, ain't set and it flat don't matter cause it's going the other way almost every time a guy falls down. The one that fouled the Notae kid out is a prime example in my opinion. They're encouraging flopping when it was supposed to have been a point of emphasis just a year ago. Of course traveling, palming and three seconds have all been relegated to the peach basket days as well. And yes I am a bitter and crabby old man that is sick of kids walking on my lawn!!!! Looking forward to USC and Gonzaga tonight as I thought we were just bad but it turns out SoCal is pretty danged good. Might give 'em a tussle.
  12. Maybe, but again, WHEN? Four years and counting. If the evidence is that concrete and indisputable then what's the hold up? To date the only thing I've seen is that regarding Zion Williamson, Norm Robert's is on tape saying, "We'll do whatever it takes." but then Williamson goes to Duke and his family moves into a million dollar house for a year. Crickets. I don't care if it's us, you or whoever if you break the rules and get caught then bust 'em but get on with it already. And it would be nice if there were some consistency across the board. I'm sure I don't need to remind MU folks that Carolina was caught red handed in an academic cheating scandal bigger than the great outdoors and nothing happened to them. MU self reports something that's like 1% of what Carolina did and you'd think they were running some mass murder ring out of Columbia. Do what you gotta do NCAA but DO IT! Regardless KU basketball will be just fine. Nobody keeps winning fourteen conference titles in a row for forever. As a matter of fact nobody else ever has. Football or whatever y'all call that other sport played in the fall on the other hand........πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
  13. When? It's been four years for cryin' out loud! Do something!
  14. Heck, most peoples shoot 68 every time out. It just varies as to what hole it happens on. Lots of folks have already done it by the time they get to twelve or thirteen! Over rated achievement I say.
  15. Folks can say what they want but Mussleman can coach, is a workaholic and he can recruit. Arkansas is gonna be a factor for however many years he stays there. And dang entertaining to boot as they're fun to watch. Of course the only difference between a good shot and a bad shot is whether or not it goes in. If the Hogs shoot it decent they can give Baylor a game. They need to drive it relentlessly cause they can get them in foul trouble and put Vital on the bench. The mullet headed white kid for Baylor might be the key. As for Missouri fans I don't think you guys are gonna be looking forward to playing Arkansas all that much for the next few years.
  16. Bragger.....πŸ™„
  17. I don’t get how some can even see over or around them. β€œMine’s bigger!” personified.
  18. I'm no Gonzaga fan and their conference is a joke but they did beat Kansas, Auburn, West Virginia, Iowa, and Virginia and had Baylor on the schedule that was cancelled due to covid. Top RPI in the country too. They're pretty dang good and deeper than anybody I've seen this year. Unless covid interferes (which could very well happen) I don't think they're gonna lose.
  19. Even the great ones have to practice a little from time to time.....πŸ’¨βš‘πŸŒŠπŸŒ¬οΈπŸŒ©οΈβ›ˆοΈπŸ’§
  20. You guys be whining about rain and flooding and our arrival is still eight weeks out! Child's play at this point........😳
  21. Wouldn't it be great if Table Rock turned into one of the absolute best walleye lakes in the country? You know, became like a "destination" walleye fishery? Walleye fisherman from EVERYWHERE would want to fish there especially in the spring! Wouldn't it be GREAT? 😳
  22. "Instant classic"!πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“
  23. But you GOTTA be pullin' a boat or some other sort of trailer (minimum 20ft.) to qualify!
  24. Good goin'! LOVE that water color!
  25. Don't tell ME to stop complaining dagnabbit! Some would say it's what I do best and others would swear that it's ALL I do. You can't deny a man what's obviously coded directly into his DNA for cryin' out loud! Actually I'm not complaining so much as painfully reminiscing I guess. Probably my least favorite part of getting old. Well, that and the pain. I've mentioned before that I don't begrudge today's recreation lovers from having as much fun as I did when I was their age and certainly don't expect anyone or anything to change on my behalf. When the fun is gone for me I'll just go elsewhere and see how close I can come to replicating those times I enjoyed the most and if I don't find it I'll just do something else. Fortunately or not my sense of enjoyment and fulfillment when on a fishing trip doesn't hinge nearly as much on fishing as it used to. Now I appreciate comfortable, safe and secure accommodations, a few days on the golf course (NEVER used to do that on a fishing trip) and leisurely boat rides soaking in the scenery and the outdoors. Catching a few fish is now more of a bonus deal cause I just don't work hard enough at it nowadays to deserve a whole lot better. Plus, I don't wanna add "cranky" to my already considerable list of undesirable character traits!
