  1. Nice fish. Glad to see you see you are finding some fish. That makes for some fine eating.
  2. Not sure how much current is created when they run the generators at the dam but that could make locating and recovery even more difficult in deep water. Any current over 2 knots and greater presents diving challenges.
  3. I would be more prone to believe the research supporting striper stocking if it is not conducted or influenced by the respective state fish and game organizations.... Kansas Fish and Game denied the existence of mountain lions for years until they started showing up on videos, pictures, and some had tracking colors..... It may be a bit like the "lost" IRS emails....lol
  4. Hope that got at least a smile out of you Plug
  5. A first for me today. Just as I was landing a nice keeper Spot it upchucked half of a gp / orange Zinkerz into the drink.....no jig just plastic.
  6. No topwater action for us either. Saw a bit of surface activity but no takers. Followed up with swimbaits and caught some nice keeper Spots.
  7. Quill I had a similar experience a few weeks back with a Megabass 110......ouch.....had to push it through then pull it out....ouch.....then decided on an overdue tetanus shot....can't be too careful
  8. Ned, Schmed....ditto. Harold Ensley had a similar deal called the Purple Reaper 50 years ago but the hooks weren't nearly as sharp...(but its a lot more of a pc name than the Table Rock Turd)?
  9. I have used them with bottom bouncer rigs and on a dropshot setup. They seem to work well but I'm not sure they are as tough and reusable as you might like.
  10. Call Bill at JMW TRAILERS 16 Emerson Road Reeds Spring MO 417 272 1900
  11. Thanks....good deal
  12. Any chance of picking the rod up at the Thursday Branson Bass Pro registration instead of the Friday event in Springfield?
  13. What Bill said!! My deal was a little different but same result.....two Megabass 110 hooks in my little finger.....the wonderful physician asst at Cox Urgent Care said she had a lot of practice at hook removal....these new hooks are sharp!
  14. I drove over to OBT from the dam area the other day and they were closed....at least they taped a sign on the door...
  15. I have found that in the last 2 years Lowrance has done a positive 180 degree turnaround. Tech support and service on the phone had been so poor that you thought you were being "punked" My recent calls for advice and service have been very good. Kudos to a good company that addresses an issue and strives to fix it!!
  16. Heck Champ, I'm so old we used cane poles with grasshoppers on safety pins. All this new fangled stuff is unnecessary.
  17. Started out at 7 and fished till 11. Caught a good number of short fish and 4 keepers. Nothing really worth stopping to take a picture. Most came on the "Rig That Shall Not be Named", a few on a Scrounge, and a couple on a Shakey Head. A lot of fun but windy.
  18. What Dave said......but do not get even a drop between two fingers :-(
  19. Dave PM sent Dave
  20. You and your better half had a fine day! Have you heard anything about the crank bait / wiggle wart bite?
  21. Haven't heard much in the last few days about the Wart bite.....is it still on?
  22. Flexible Pex tubing that wont freeze and bust with SharkBite fittings make plumbing almost a non event.
  23. Received mine in the mail today. They look great! Dave
  24. Quill how are you rigging your tubes? How do you set the weight and hook? Thanks
  25. C4F Really lame that they hang on to your money that long AND keep you hanging
