  1. Thank you Al, will have to go and take a look at it.
  2. Where is that structure the put in to block the lead mine tailings? How is that working? Have not floated the Big in 3-4 yrs...would gladly drive another hour or so to fish someplace else.. Not really on my radar.
  3. Maybe your pet lizard is the reincarnation of Jim Morrisson? Long live the Lizard King!
  4. Old Scott Pics Al. Have seen em before. Hardly fished this year, last years best bass mighta gone 18”. Way to busy this year with the COVID stimulus money, and delayed tax season. Got 20 biz returns in on Tuesday. No time, so will file something then amend them all next month. Or later.
  5. A man has gotta do what he want's to do. Before the Dawt Mill removal, you could catch them below the mill dam at times. Think they are resident in the summer now. Water is allot cooler than the lake, but within a Striper's preferred temperature range.Probably resident year round if shad run up if the fall/winter. 58-60 degree water almost year round. Thermal refuge.
  6. They eat lots of crawfish. Those I’ve seen cleaned usually have lots of crawfish in there stomach. Probably 100lbs of crawfish for every pound trout in that river.
  7. Fair number of them being caught. I’m bringing a large net and heavier tackle for the next trip.
  8. Stipers are definetly in the NFoW. Hooked a big one right below Kelly Ford a month ago. Saw several schools of striper in a few other spots on the way down to Sunburst. Schools of 10-30 fish. They are there for sure.
  9. The stripers will eat trout. Plus they are delicious.
  10. What Cash?
  11. Nice, that is a good start.
  12. Looks like a good day at work.
  13. How did FW get $50 dollars? 😃
  14. Your not gonna do well on the NFoW at present level. Talk to Justin, & Scott A. Scott A can run over the falls if it rolling but it is not. Some big striped bass in that creek. Please kill them.
  15. Stick more arrows in it!
  16. Was that the trip were they shaved the cat at Quarry Park? Have some depraved friends.

    What's Cooking?

Short ribs are usually A two day cook. Cook, chill overnight, dump the fat and reheat with your dinner veggies.
  18. Nice variety!
  19. Good for you two!
  20. Joe D does many things, he is a great cook, and a very good fisherman. His handle brings back some memories....Joe D Grinder...Marine Corps songs, Jody is back home and ******** your girlfriend. But his name is Joe, last name starts with D.
  21. Will call you Glen, see some future availability, but for that distance its got to be a 2-3 day trip. Spent 6 hours in the heat to shoot at no doves today. Did not pull a trigger, and most did not. Lots of missed shots (6 booms), on the field that had one or four flying. Probably lost 10lbs today.
  22. Read all of Al Agnew's posts...Its allot....but yes, he is very good. He is Insanely good at working fish, and the most accurate that I've ever seen with a bait caster from a canoe. Mitch F is really good too but a jig guy. Have learned allot from both. I can out fly cast both of them, but its not a contest. Have never fished with FW but he needs to send me an invite for Whites, Stripers, or SMB
  23. Time on the water. They are not hard fish to catch. I fish topwater about 90% of the time this time of year, as long as it is hot. You can wade Big River in spots...but....a canoe or kayak is your best friend. A friend to help you run shuttle....is one you want to keep.
  24. That is disgusting....Dig a hole. Do your business at least 100' away from the river.
  25. Hook any of those to a swim jig head, and it works at times. Fish it like a spinner bait. Keep it moving, but vary.
