  1. Looks like a cluster fork of tricos.
  2. Wow! That's a really long term on a toy loan but if no prepayment penalty...OK...Still think that you should be able to pay it off in 3 or you really cant afford it.
  3. A ten year loan on a boat? That sounds like a really bad financial decision.

Brisket is all about the quality of the meat. Use a choice or select brisket and it gets dry. Use a prime brisket and its usually very good. I usually buy whole packer brisket and separate the point from the flat before I smoke it. The flat is usually done in 6-7 hours, the point takes 8-10hrs.

G&W Bavarian Sausage CO is a must stop. Everything they make is darn good. The hausmacher is in a natural case, better than goose liver pate, better flavor & smooth texture. Frick's (pronounced Frikes) in Washington MO makes some great braunschweiger & ham.
  6. Prairie du chienhas allot of duckwort beds. Fish the color change with a frog.

Will Have to do some smoked bologna. Like g&w hausmacher allot (smoked liverwurst). Pick it up locally, off Kingshiway. Will give you a beer while u wait.
  8. Sad news, will miss his trip reports and pictures.
  9. Pete, I use Suffix hi-vis braid in 6# test/2lb diameter...Its a lot stronger than 6lb test and casts a country mile.
  10. Triple surgeon's for me. Strong enough and a 10 second tie. It will break if I want it to but has never failed on a fish in MO. Would tie a more elaborate & time waiting knot if expecting 20lb plus fish.
  11. Close the bail manually and don't look back. Usually unravel the twist issues from the previous trip in the yard before a trip. Braid helps. It still twists but very manageable.
  12. More reports the better. The retards that do that just don't care.

    What's Cooking?

Would use your next batch or two of shrimp on two other recipes from your Commander's Palace cookbook. The Nawlins BBQ Shrimp & Shrimp Hennican are very good.
  14. Call it in even though they will do nothing.
  15. No time to waste on the MDC. Done with them. Will vote to defund them at any opportunity. Permit sales needs to become an important part of their revenue stream again. They won't listen to anglers and hunters again until that happens.
  16. Its low right now like everything else. You can run a jet down there but the low water bridges at Dawt, and Patrick will limit your ability to navigate. So will the "Falls" in front of River of Life. Would imagine that there is still a bunch of wood & debris in the water. I would call Justin @ Sunburst Ranch, or message them on facebook for current river conditions.
  17. Got into to fly fishing when I was 10-12. Used to jig fish the trout parks with dad and got interested in making our own jigs & spinners. Next logical progression was fly tying. Still have my first pattern book. Dad was a very good illustrator, and did Step by Step illustrations of the flies I learned to tie in my first class.
  18. Sorry to here about your Mom! Positive thoughts headed towards you & your family. Glad the boat is sold to a good home. One monkey off your back, one more arrives usually. Hang tough!
  19. Thanks for the suggestions...Think I've figured out what I want and narrowed it down to a couple units. Anyone have experience with these? https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/529893 https://www.humminbird.com/Products/HELIX-9-CHIRP-MEGA--SI-GPS-G2N/
  20. Buffalo is very good. Its usually on the menu at soul food joints, and at fish stands along the Mississippi.
  21. I'm not sure. Twin Bridges & Pettit's CG's are open and Sunburst is running floats (no camping at Sunburst yet). Fish are still in the river.
  22. Looking for higher end side view/ down view/ live mapping. Think I could mount any stock transducer on a stick and use any unit if I have a power supply.
  23. Looking for a good unit that is portable. Might put it on my Jon boat but mostly for Canada and the outfitters jons up there. Mostly 14' Lunds with a 15hp, or a bigger V hull G3 with a 30 or 50. Make your own map with GPS a plus. Do not know where to start.
  24. Looks like fun! good for you!
