It’s Highly illegal to scatter corn for waterfowl. You can leave it unharvested, standing and flood it though. Might spill a few on her property & report her.

Game Leases and Big Ag have ruined hunting access for most. Public land is full of goobers, and gets shot out quickly. Private land is still full of Goobers, but it gets less pressure. Plus hunters & fishermen suck at recruiting...The focus is on 8 year olds...That's nice, but recruit folks in the 16-50yr old range...They can drive and go on their own.

Oysters are pretty much the only edible you are gonna find this time of year...Any wet warm snap can fire off a bunch. Not uncommon to find 10lbs or more.

Look like oyster mushrooms. Growing on underground wood? Should be some our now with the warm weather.

If you could round up 8-10 rednecks to shoot at those birds for a couple days, they would move someplace else. Fed Warden could cite the lady for baiting, maybe.

Tires work well on the river too.

40 ish dead backyard squirrels this year. They are still thick, but wiser, and harder to kill. Neighbor & his 3 boys shoot a pile too. They will get stupid again with some snow.

Was a wonky year...Had one good fishing trip on the G Nade...the rest pretty much sucked...Canxed a bunch due to high water...Shooting was more fun than fishing this year...Will see what next week brings, Hoping for a nice brown trout ...been a year or two since I caught a stellar one. Usual bunch will be camping in the usual spot Weds-Saturday next week...Will be sore lipping em long before you can get there, so dont bother.

Was our turn in the barrel for my family’s Christmas party. We are a small clan, and great to see the cousins, aunts, & uncles. Was a good time! Cleaning up the rest of aftermath is tomorrow’s job.

Getting around in the North STL Hood is no big deal. Wear a suit and tie, carry a brief case. Do your business and don't linger. The skells will think you are the lawyer or the insurance man there to help their neighbor(Only reason to go there). Show up casual and linger, you are a mark. Should not be there, desperate for drugs or foul poontang, and you have a pocket full of cash and a vehicle. Would be lucky to leave with an STD, empty wallet, and the vehicle.

A knife can deploy faster than a gun at close range. Edge of your credit/debit card will slice too. Slash at the forehead, eyes, hands to disable. Used to carry but just extra weight IMO.

Think will fish less and shoot more next year. Always want to change it up.
