I'm with Al, Mitch's heads and craw setup is a step above what I'm used to using.

I've had 3 cortizone shots in each elbow to no avail. I googled it one night after a day of fishing and a lot of pain and found exercises that I do on a regular basis and the problem is all but over. The exercises are easy I usually do them while on long drives

It's gonna be a week before its fish able after this rain but it'll be 2 or 3 weeks before its giggable. I have only seen one boat and couple kayaker in last week or so Kind of surprises me with the mild weather. I'm just about done hunting and am ready to tear up some smallies. Really big ones.

Right on wrench. That's what I'm saying. I have a couple agents in my county and one of them is a stand up man who follows up on leads and hammers em. The other guy ? Not sure of his motivation. Definitely a difference between taking pride in what you do and just passing time. I fire guys regularly for passing time

An agent told me they can't give tickets for sticking illegal fish. Only for taking em from the water to home that's how it's interpreted in my county by the prosecuting attorney. Opening night by my house we heard shots after dark and took chase in truck. Long story short- idiots admitted to spotlighting 5 deer and shooting em. Total fine =$4000

The big difference below pacific is shad. There are a ton of shad. Period. It makes it into a entirely different fishery than say up by my house around stclair.

Mitch makes a jig head to go with it that makes the whole thing that much better. Not trying to make anyone jealous but I have a bunch of these craws and I hoard em for special occasions such as when I take someone out who doesn't have a clue how to fish. Tie on a craw for them and they'll catch fish. I literally fish it like a live craw. Most my big fish take it just sitting there not moving at all. Helps to know where to throw it but if there's a biggun there he will eat it like a live craw.

Quick rundown of this stretch of river: its probably the worst stretch of river to fish for the average guy. Anyone who sees the pictures and heads down there for a awesome day is gonna be disappointed Unless you are Smallie bigs. He absolutely has it figured out and he gets it. Unfortunately most of the rest of us are gonna catch a random dandy and be mesmerized by it. From pacific to the Mississippi sucks!!! I'm sorry but it's the truth. With that being said I am going down there tomorrow. Don't ask me why. Cause it sucks. Any questions?

I think I'll go get me some tomorrow for deer camp fish fry. Maybe fillet something with some teeth too.

Deer numbers seem way down in Ballwin. Does anyone know when the ellisville cops start shooting the deer. Just wondering if they got started yet. Wildwood has more deer than I've ever seen this year. Kinda weird maybe they are getting pushed around by a lot of construction in ellisville.

Right semble. I end up letting the lower meramec fish go on the upper meramec in my back yard. Especially walleye and hybrids. Same river, just 50 mile up

I recently went to a fish fry where all we ate were spotted bass. Honestly they were some of the best fish I've had. I've since started eating the 10 to 12 inch ones I've been catching. I've catch and released them most of my adult life unless I was camping out and then we always fried em up. But since you can keep little ones now I like eating the little ones.

Since I don't eat raw fish I pay no mind to them worms, larvae or whatever I've been eating them since I was a kid. I feel fine.

Wrench, we are catching hybrids that are far too small to have made the trip from any reservoir There is true stripers being caught so........ Whites-stripers meet on same shoal spawning with the cross breed happening naturally This is my theory only

If anyone reading this thinks they are going to randomly walk along and catch these fish, good luck. We ran 6 miles of water without a bite. And we for sure know where to go These fish , walleye and hybrids, are like the mystery from the deep. They are definitely getting hammered by fishing pressure and they have no problem swimming off and never coming back. The good news-- I'm catching good numbers of both fish from the Mississippi to meramec caverns Smallie bigs knows what he's doing and makes it sound fairly easy. The dude has more lures in his Arsenal than anyone I've ever fished with and we get skunked regularly Well sometimes. I honestly think Smallie fishing is a walk in the park compared to it. Good luck. I've been doing that for years. Bandit 300. I won't give the color on the interweb because it is oh so deadly. You won't catch any dinks either. Sounds like you are doing the same thing. I actually fish super deep divers all summer too Honestly let's quit talking about it now. It's a technique I have perfected in the last 5 years on the meramec. He is real close to hitting a home run.

Right on! I pulled off a quadruple header today with a buddy. First flock classic ambush and call back. Second hunt big flock of long beards. Had a nice flush on them and settled in for the wait cause I like to give long beards a hour before I call After 10 minutes they got to gobbling there full heads off and I gobbler yelped 2 right in close and personal! It's nice having the freezer stocked

I'm not a expert on fish migration but I do know if fish go downstream to Clearwater lake it would basically be a stroll in the park I mean it's downstream right? And to travel back up in late winter with a little flood rise I'm sure of this that they hug the bank on one side or the other it's always dead water. Just saying. There is some very interesting conversations coming from this topic.

Man alive the leaves were a pain today. Only thing you could fish was a Mitch craw. And boy did they want it.

Chief, I'm the happiest guy you could ever meet. I can tell you the monies from violations go to the county they occur in. Anyone can google that though. You already know that or your as dumb as a fence post ( figuritevily speaking ) of course. I do enjoy catching extremely large smallies and I do on a regular basis. I would like to see more Giants and I think some good regulations would make a difference. Happy happy happy.
