It's a double edged sword for me. When I first started swelling, no one heard of it, and it took a long time for any real diagnosis, and still no treatment options other than keep the feet elevated. I figured out the infections because I would be hospitalized with heavy I V antibiotics after summer camps and weekend campouts in the summer. Rarely happened in the winter. Bacterial infection from the lakes/rivers. I have to wear waders no matter how hot it is outside if I get into the water. Not many are made for heavy swollen calves and feet. Now, due to so many breast cancer patients, lymphademia and cellulitis is more common. Doctors have more experience, and more treatment options are available. It's a great thing for me, but it's with great cost for others. Double edged sword. I've been able to control it with compression stockings, the ones elderly people have to wear. Really thick and strong prescription style. Hopefully I can learn some new tricks and get control back, and fit into muck boots and waders. Sorry Oneshot, not trying to one up you. I do hope your condition is figured out and you stay healthy. Just know, you're not alone.

It was 1995 when I was diagnosed wirh lymphademia or lymphadema, however you would like to spell it. My right leg was swollen, got infected, they thought at first it was a tick bite. Then, possibly a blood clot, then ruled out as a staph infection, and the antibiotics worked, the swelling should go down in 6 weeks. Well, the swelling never did go down on its own, took some therapy, learned what little was known, and quickly realized he hard way, multiple times, I could not get into the water or risk nasty and possibly deadly infections. I was 16. Fast forward to now, I am struggling to keep the swelling under some kind of control, due to the surgeries after the accident. Gonna see a new specialist in a couple weeks. Hopefully wirh medical advances I can get to look more like a normal person, instead of the elephant man.

End results were very satisfactory. I bought a new pre seasoned cast iron grate but wasn't diligent enough to heat and season it myself. My skins stuck, and I couldn't flip them.

Never used a pellet smoker, but recently inherited an electric smoker. I'm happy with it. I bought a thermapro thermometer set that has 4 probes. I can see the ambient temp on multiple levels and meat temperature on my phone. Got some wings on the weber charcoal right now.

I got through.

Just playing around this was created. Unfortunately I foul hooked what I believe to be a common shiner. Correct me if I'm wrong. 16 hook (I believe) olive marabou, yellow micro chenille, red micro thread. Non weighted, although I think my next will be. Will add photos later. Site blocking me.

I'm looking to see if anyone has brass beads or possibly other colors that they are not using. Or any supplies for that matter. I'm willing to buy at a fair price, just figured if someone has supplies that are unwanted or unused, I would ask.

I think they are a neat product. I like the name and they way they were named and produced. Good job.

I haven't caught a drum in many years. The ones I caught were in the Mississippi River downtown St Louis. They would hit pretty hard, fight for about 3 seconds, and it was over. Might as well be reeling in a plastic bag. -

Wow, I didn't see anyone fishing it when we were there. Family trip, and I usually don't even try to fish then. Cool looking fish. -

I've read many times that a source of water, such as a pie plate (or multiple), bowls/Buckets etc. will help keep them from demolishing tomato gardens.

I seen alot of those small ones floating, usually was an indication of recent stocking. I haven't been fishing there since I was a teenager. I really dont know the health of the lake, or the status. That may have been the legend of the lake. And all I got was a guick glimpse of him along with a story of the one that got away. I was surprised to see a "new" dock and level sidewalks. It just may be another 25ish years till I make it back. Hopefully not, but I have a lot I want to see and do.

I was so confused I had the sunfish out of the water before it all clicked and I replayed the scene.

I got out and went to an old haunt. The creek I like to fish was blown out, and not easily accessible. While fishing I met a really nice guy. We talked for a bit, he seemed really knowledgeable about the pond inwas fishing. He started to tell em a familiar story about a bass taking his bluegill. I asked him "Are you Jungle Jim?" Sure enough it was. I seen many small bluegill and sunfish attacking my fly I had tied on, but no actual takes. He advised me to use a smaller fly. I was pretty sure I could get bit on the one I had tied on. Before he left he gave me a few of his hamd tied flies. Alas after we parted ways, I tied a smaller fly. I couldn't keep them off. I had a great day, I caught more fish today in one day than I ever had before. Nothing of size, but fun on the fly rod. Here is a true fishing story. I set the hook on a sunfish, about 15 feet from the bank. I'm stripping him in, all of a sudden, he got extra jumpy. Then big splashing happened. A catfish tried to eat my sunfish. I didn't get a good view of the catfish. I took a picture of the sunfish wirh the damaged scales. It was definitely a first for me. @Jungle Jim, it was nice meeting you, thanks for the flies.

Seems simple enough. Interesting backstory to the title.
