  1. Sounds like a good deal to me. I only get down there twice a year if I'm lucky, but I would think that the regulars could benefit.
  2. Wow! Thanks Pepe. These sure look amazing. I will be using them this fall. I have a few modifications to do to the newly acquired canoe. Then it's on.
  3. Maybe my phone isn't working with it then.
  4. Dead link.
  5. Wow that really stinks. Glad it wasn't the throat. Get well soon.
  6. So how was the upper lake? I have fishes the lower one with no results. The creek surely looked way to skinny to hold fish that large. Been a while. Used to hunt squirrel there.
  7. Hey, me too. I live behind west city park.
  8. I still love to use the trusted "33". I have ventured away lately, but for water that is as transparent as mud, 10 feet deep, and may not have 10 fish total.... it is hard to justify the additional cost. Also when you have something that works, you use it. You guys on the other side complain about the water color in the big lakes, we are lucky to see a glowstick 10 inches deep in most of our water. That is what kept me from upgrades until recently. Harris gives many reports and asked how he could improve the use of his equipment. Give him some respect. DC
  9. Festus/ Arnold area here. Where about are you?
  10. When I catch anything, it was by accident.
  11. No, I have never been on Plattin.
  12. I make it a point to remove trash everytime we go out. My kids used to see it as a chore, but now, they do it without any provocation. Now, I will never make the difference the stream teams do, but my kids will never be the ones contributing to the problem. (At least I hope not).
  13. Thanks Wrench. Always appreciate your knowledge.
  14. I just bought a used motor, 71 Ted Williams 7 HP. I want to rebuild the carburetor. Looking to buy the kit. Thanks. DC
  15. Took my son out for a little bit. Went to a small creek. We got eaten up by the mosquitos. They just about won. We fished a little down from the honey hole we found a few weeks ago. Within 10 casts I had my first one on. It got off. I was using the Zarra Spook Jr again. I really like this lure. I caught a 17 incher and a 13 incher. No real blow ups, just a swirl. My son was fishing Dave's Ned Rig. He caught 3. He is really getting excited about going out. His were 8 inches, 12 inches and we did not measure the other one. We had many chasers. We went out about 6:15, quit just about 8. Not bad for less than 2 hours. Of course, all fish were released instantly. This is a small creek, and I really enjoy the time on it.
  16. BW, I have been here long enough to expect it. Maybe have done it once or twice myself. $80? That's cheap! I gave $500 for mine 13 footer with a 7hp motor. Both with titles. I think I did well. It is quite heavy in and out of my Dakota. Guess I am not as much of a Manas others. Lol.
  17. I have not. I will, thanks for the info. DC
  18. I just bought a 13 foot Gheenoe. It came with a two stroke 7hp motor. I have been reading alot on them, but there is not much on the ozarkan area. Seems like they would be excellent. Does anyone here have experience with one?
  19. Fun times. I appreciate the snake pics also.
  20. So sorry to hear. I was really enjoying the reports. Maybe with the wet summer we had, the flowers will produce and more bees will come your way.
  21. I also LOVE your "Out West Reports" , just in case you were wondering if anyone reads these. :-)
  22. Interested in the....outcome of this story.
  23. Late to respond, thank you. Got a couple. Now I just hope they are comfortable.
