    Yes, and both. The part that sucks the most is that when you stand off to the side you can't tell which side the streaks are on ...... So you gotta do both sides again. They look crystal clear when looking straight through them. Typically I would just admit to Sugarbritches that I suck at it.....so SHE would just take care of it. But I've reached my limit on projects that I suck at, like doing dishes & folding laundry, so it's all on ME. 😅

    I've hated this project my entire life. What's the trick used by people that can do it properly? They look crystal clear when standing right there.....but once "done" and I stand off to the side a bit, there are streaks and smudges everywhere. Even on the ones I did TWICE....and then a 3rd time ! 🙄

    About 4 years ago everyone and their dog was rigging up Food Trucks around here. Practically one on every major corner.....and they are all good 😋 They must not be making enough money though because I recognize the trucks/campers but they are all decorated differently this year, and different people are operating them. There was even one along the Niangua river selling taco's/Nachos (and secret margaritas) to floaters.

    Please don't hold me to the "16 years" part. Time ! I mean wow ! In later videos I've watched, Flip mentioned how much he hates the Internet...... But as I recall, at that time, he was always quick to respond to an email. I think he spent more time perusing it than he let on.

    With all due respect......Not everyone needs instruction on how to fish. Plenty just want someone with a boat, to give them a ride. 👍 Besides, the odds are that the ones considered "Good Guides" are just going to rig you up with a bobber & a scud anyway. 🙄

    When you caught one...what were you doing, and what type of water were you doing it in ? Gotta pay attention to every little detail.....then try to find places to repeat it. Like putting together a puzzle. Hang in there 👍

    I'm sure that he was proficient at it, but he was more famous for warm water/saltwater stuff.....Hence his stockpile of old 8-9wt. orange lines. 😊

    Even if the "floating device" is the FLY LINE ? The little snippet of heavier orange line at the line/leader connection simply keeps the tip of the fly line from riding beneath the surface. And it gives your eyes something to concentrate on. There is no hinge.

    Suit yourself, but colored mono just sinks, and when you're 25'-40' away you can't see it. A full ORANGE line doesn't allow me to notice those tiny little twitches, but that little piece of visuality alerts me to every little pause. That little section of 8-9wt. floating fly line stays up even in the broken water of a fast riffle. Doesn't impede the cast at all. Allows for perfect mends because you can see if your mending is moving more than just the fly line.....which makes it beneficial for fishing dry flys too. Works better than anything for me. 👍

    Scientific Anglers used to have a 8-9wt. Line in ORANGE that could be pulled off the Dacron core, cut into inch long pieces, and slid up and glued onto a leader. Makes for a really sweet sighter for nymphing. About 16 years ago I had ran out and couldn't find any anywhere, but Flip responded to a post on the Flyfisherman magazine forum saying that he had some, and would dig through his garage to see if he could find it. About 6 days later I received an envelope in the mail with 6 feet of that line. I'm still using it 😊

    There's just something about hearing that pellet hit your meal....."WHAP !" And then all the other critters in the area are like.... "Look at that idiot falling out of the tree for no reason" 😅

    If you're talking about the Bassmaster Classic I'd have to say "Wait & See". The direction that B A.S.S. is going I'll be surprised if they aren't extinct by then.

    How does that make any sense? Harmless if in your lungs or stomach.....but deadly if it accesses your sinuses? If that's true then it would be better to taste a fart, than to smell one. When exposed to heavy fumes is it better to breathe through your mouth ?

    When we were kids there was the "town branch" that we played in. I mean every drop of rain that hit the streets & ditches ran through it. We freely DRANK that ! And I don't mean a little sip here and there..... I'm talking about DRINKING IT ! It's truly a wonder.....

    "Health officials have not disclosed the patient’s country of origin, but have stated that they are currently under intensive care". I'm curious why that little tidbit was included in the report 🤔

    Well Hell, Gotta admit.....I've certainly never avoided being close where those came from! 🤷

    I have 4 different temperature measuring devices, and since they all indicate differently there's no sense in discussing the values.......But one consistency among them is that our hottest day so far this year has been 8° warmer than the hottest day last year.

    It's so embarrassing that the local news has stopped reporting them. I expect they'll stop reporting small children drownings soon too. 😔
