  1. I've been seeing groups of bucks lately. Either bachelor parties, or they are going gay. MGTOW! Piss on them doe's!
  2. Slow down, ol'man! 😅 I about fell out of the boat 3 times today. Got some new Simms wading boots, they are stiff as hell. Gonna have to run them over with the truck a few times I guess. Otherwise they are going to cause me to bust my rear end or drown.
  3. 150's used to push the big old Ranger 390 series sleds around just fine. Lots of miles covered and lots of tournaments won out of them. I have no clue what caused this accident, but if they ran completely over the top of them.... somebody was haulingass.
  4. Easier, in my opinion, to find the fish vs. trying to corral them where I want them to be.
  5. Just awful 😔 The benchmark for a "good bass boat" nowadays is over 70 mph. I don't even like running that fast on perfectly slick water. I actually miss the old 150 rule. Not sure why it had to be changed.
  6. Ok, I have panty free panties now. Just needed a nap I guess. 😊 Headed to a new stretch of river here in a bit. I hate these days when you can't decide whether to wear waders or wet wade. ðŸĪ” I'm either going to freeze or sweat today.
  7. The Chubby Chernobyl is the one I'm hearing everyone from out there talking about. The sloppier the better. Imagine pulling a Hopper off the grill of your truck..... that's the look you're going for.
  8. I've planted pines, they don't like it here. Tried all sorts of trees after the twister ridded me of all the big pretty ones. One lonely catalpa made it, and one redbud, everything else dies. Oaks, Hickorys, sycamores, dogwoods, and Mimosa's..... that's the only thing that wants to live here.
  9. I'm chainsaw, chop saw, and sawzall certified......I got this.
  10. Yeah, ain't that sumpthin'? Hoooo, boy! 🙊 Guess that's a checkmate, because if I respond the way I want to, for that jab..... I'll lose a friend for sure. So I'd best stand on my fingers and not answer the phone for awhile. 🙄
  11. Wait until you spill some oil on it. Slick spot forever. I hate that rino liner crap, or any other spray on coating for that matter. Looks cool, but sucks.
  12. Yeah it really is. They do ok at Bennett for only utilizing 1/4 of the hatchery system they built. I'd sure love to see them ramp it up though. The park and river both fished much better back when they had less tools to do their jobs with, and less guys doing it. I can't even imagine what those guys do all day long now. Cut grass I suppose.
  13. The backend flats are loading up with fish big-time right now. Water temp got down to 74° for a few days but was back up to 81° this evening. Lots of activity in the shallows. And the best part......No oak mites out there! 😊
  14. Yeah I wonder which chair holder-downers pet project that was? "Rather than tending better to what we already have, let's bring in something else that we can fail to keep track of". And while we're at it, let's do nothing with the trout program but raise the price of a trout tag anyway. 🙄
  15. I goofed on the White action too. Was out a bit early for the blitz, so started throwing poppers for green bass. Ended up having so much fun that I stayed with them until dark. Let the Whites have a pass tonight. Caught about 15-20 shorts and 2 decent ones.
  16. I wish they'd go to half as much trouble to bust smallmouth giggers. We paid to have those stupid elk brought in here.....and now they are going to make our lives miserable about them. I'll gladly testify in writing that she has MY permission to shoot that one, and 2 more. Now, go find something worthwhile to INVESTIGATE.
  17. Me too. It's early yet though. Of course I only have to drive 1/2 mile and boat another 2 miles. 😊
  18. It's worth a try I guess. I tried both of these last year, to no avail.
  19. We keep granules down for ticks and chiggers, no problems with them this year at all.
  20. Go ahead, just stroll over there and touch that target board, or that little picnic table. You'll see. I'd rather walk through a pit of rattle snakes.
  21. I still haven't met my first buffalo gnat, but they can't be anything as bad as oak mites. It's always during this late Summer/early Fall period. I have trails leading from my yard into the woods and I DARE YOU to take 10 steps into either of those trails right now. Absolute misery.
  22. I can't understand how they operate. I assume that they cover the ground and when you step into them it fluffs them up onto your legs like dust particles, then they just immediately bore into your skin or go into your pores. Some people's skin may react to them differently, but my skin starts itching and burning like hell. It just makes me want to saw my legs off. .
  23. They don't even leave bite marks, they just make you hate life until.....I guess until they die inside you. Gross!
  24. Bull! None of that works! The itching burning will stop eventually on its own, but I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of or find info on, to keep from experiencing it in the first place, and nothing I've tried prevents them from doing their thing. I have been covered in oil and grease, bug spray, deet, ect....and STILL it hasn't stopped them. Once they are on you, you're screwed for 2-4 hours it seems. All it takes is 3 steps into the wrong spot and you're in for it. They must immediately crawl/dive into your pores or something.
  25. Great, they're back! ðŸ˜Đ If the MDC (or any other) biologists were worth 1/3 of their pay scale, they would figure out something a person could do to either keep them off of you, or keep from feeling them eating on you. Even after dousing and scrubbing my legs in rubbing alcohol, and then hand cleaner and a long rinse in cold water......Still they are eating away. I can't stand this!!!! ðŸĪŠ
