  1. Here's a conspiracy theory for ya .... After those yellow vinyl MDC measuring stickers sit in the sun awhile, they actually measure 1/4" short. Accident? 🤔 You decide.
  2. It's not a dam, it's a low water whistle bridge. Water goes through it, or over it just like the ones at Cedar camp and Howard Ford. Throw a top-water bug along the weeds on those slow stretches and you'll quit cussing them. 😊
  3. Well duh! 😅 On it's way to the gulf so the eels can get a whiff of it. Seriously though, the Niangua always falls out even faster than the Little Niangua does.
  4. Oh it floods. But you're correct that it falls out quickly, and often to a level lower than it was before it flooded. My main complaint about the Niangua is that it spends the majority of it's life being too low. Not sure where all the water goes after a wet spell, or how it gets there so fast. The Gasconade would do likewise if it was the same in length.
  5. I noticed the hatchery guy lifted the tail and called Frank a triploid. Do they clip adipose fins on trip's, or what was he looking for ?
  6. They must have been pre-staging, hu?
  7. "Staging" 😅 I just love that term. Makes it sound all figured out and technical. When my dog is going around in circles trying to decide which way the wind is blowing before he poops ..... That's gotta be "staging".
  8. Run a straight line down the center of the hull with the motor trimmed down level. See how far above/below that line the cavitation plate is sitting. Your range of adjustment runs from 2" below to 2" above. If it blows out on hard turns, during a hole shot, or when trimmed up and running WOT then you need to go down a hole. I like them set as high as possible with no blowouts.
  9. Then I'd say.....Adjusting the motor height on the transom, moving some weight forward, or installing a hydrofoil, are your only options to improve the hole shot.
  10. In that case it's unlikely that you can help your hole shot problem with a prop swap. A prop that would help you get out of the hole faster is going to over-rev at WOT. Is there a bar limiting downward trim movement? If so can that bar be moved inward? (Down) Or removed, so as to allow more negative trim angle?
  11. Do you know what your top end RPM's are ?
  12. "for years to come"...... Yeah about 4 of them at most. There is already NLA parts for Opti's, and that list gets bigger every month. The truth is: They have a massive inventory of blown powerheads, and it's that drag queens job to find a way to turn them back into profit. 😅
  13. I'm always the voice of reason. You just rarely are reasonable. 😂
  14. Well then they should stay home until they learn. Or pay the ticket.
  15. I'd love to be granted permission to go through a zoo and shoot monkeys. I freakin' hate monkeys, they gross me out. A neighbor got one one time and brought it by here in a diaper talking about how adorable it was. My thoughts were more like.... "Get that THING away from me before I club it to death with a 2x4".
  16. I tune mine to suspending level, but the guy that I call the best wintertime jerkbait fisherman I've ever known doesn't even give that detail a single thought. Probably because his bait never sits completely motionless on a slack line.
  17. I listened to the whole thing the day it was first uploaded to YT last Summer. I get immediate notifications on almost everything related to hunting/fishing/airguns/fly tying/marine repair/Lake of the Ozarks/and bare knuckle boxing. I'm on top of things man ! 😁
  18. True, but the upcoming snagging season sure does. Calls are beginning to pour in around here.
  19. Yeah I understand that a single plant can keep coming up every year. Tulips and the like. What I am questioning is how something simply sprinkled onto the plant can become part of the plants molecular structure. And if it can then it would inevitably get passed on through pollenation .... would it not, and if not HOW NOT ??? See that's the thing with MOST biologist's and the crap they pull. They are not looking for actual answers, they are only looking for reasons to convince people to further their studies and justify their phoney baloney jobs. Biologist's have done great things in the past, and I'm sure they'll probably do great things in the future.... but in the meantime we get fed heaps and bundles of mind numbing bullcrap for the sole reason of them creating things to do in order to stay employed by their agencies. In a few short years there will be no more talk of CWD, and it will be something else. Will they have cured it? No. Would it have ever become a deadly terrible thing? Probably not. So what did we get for our money, other than something to argue on here about?
  20. And here we have the real reason for all of this baloney. A reason to study and get funded. Of course. By the way, how's that Ebola thing coming along ?
  21. So a deer pisses on a plant, and from that point on every plant pollenated and seed germinated from that plant is infectious ? Fake News has truly reached a new level tonight. Wait until Monsanto catches wind of this breakthough in science.
  22. I took notes on Ted's claims, and from what I could find out everything he said was accurate. Can anyone point out something he said that was untrue ? The biologist's statements are a little harder to disprove, and I may not be able to. Except for the thing he said about prions existing on a leaf for decades.....cuz a biologist of all people should know that no leaf lasts for decades. 🙄
  23. It's a green and white Crownline bowrider, just so ya know. 😎
  24. You were there? I was there! 1981? I don't remember REO, but Heart closed it. They threatened to shut the thing down if everyone didn't quit shooting off fireworks. And Ted announced that if they did he'd have generators hauled in.....cuz the show WAS gonna go on. 😃🤘
